NicoN Posted October 6, 2021 Report Posted October 6, 2021 In preparation of a future ADS-B upgrade fpr our GTX330, I wanted to wire the necessary connection between GTX an GNS430W. I thought, it would be an easy job, as I had to remove the glare-shield for other work (LOL). But, no chance - there is no space to bring my hand behind the various trays, not talking about seeing what I am doing. Now, I think I have to pull the full center panel a few centimeters forward - but how? We have a 1980 M20K. Can somebody give me some hints of how to loosen that piece of panel? Nevertheless, even if I can get the panel loose, I expect thousands of cable ties :-( Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted October 6, 2021 Report Posted October 6, 2021 I’m pretty sure you can remove two screws from the back of the 430 tray and bring the rear panel forward enough to get to the connectors from the front. Just pull the radio out and look into the tray. You can also take the screws out for the individual connectors from the front. Quote
