Expect the O360 used for an R22... to be specialized somewhat...  

But it is still an O360...

That would leave you checking every mini detail to make sure every hole is in the right place...

And as Mike mentioned above... somebody around here got an engine with no prop speed control.... because the funny hole was open allowing oil pressure to escape...

Thanks for all of the help. Turns out it's not a cracked case but was leaking from where the bolt mounts the generator. So some how the two halves aren't pairing up like they used to. Now to see how that all pans out :unsure:

Ugh. This may not change your situation much. You’ll know for sure if the crank feels tight after everything is tightened up. I hope that significant case fretting has not yet occurred.

Yes!  CSI rocks!  Mr. Jewel at Jewel Aircraft Engines put me onto them.  Jewel is another source for a case.  He had some as of about three months ago.
