Steve65E-NC Posted October 10, 2020 Report Posted October 10, 2020 At over $550.00 for new, looks like someone would rebuild and yellow tag this common switch for a reasonable price. Any suggestions? Quote
carusoam Posted October 10, 2020 Report Posted October 10, 2020 The challenge is... Its simple it works it keeps the fan on it wears out after 40 to 50 years There is an OH kit for that... (I think) A set of common wear items... Every now and then, an owner needs to save some money... There are also pre-flown parts like that... Find Alan, see what he has on the shelf... PP thoughts only, not a mechanic... Best regards, -a- Quote
Guest Posted October 10, 2020 Report Posted October 10, 2020 A quick search will locate the manual with maintenance and parts. It’s pretty basic maintenance. Clarence Quote
Buckeyechuck Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 I replaced mine several years ago while troubleshooting a mag issue. I don’t think the old one has any issues. Your welcome to it if it will work in your E. Out of a 62C s/n 2018. Quote

M20F-1968 Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 I have a Bendix ignition switch from my 1968 F. It went unused for 26 years while my plane sat in a hangar in TX. It is in excellent shape. When I redid my panel, we simply put in a new one along with the new everything else. Give me a call or contact me here is you are interested. I can sell for a reasonable price. It will save me from posting on e-bay. John Breda Cell (617) 877-0025 Quote

Steve65E-NC Posted October 11, 2020 Author Report Posted October 11, 2020 A year or so ago a number of Bendix, push to start, rebuild kits were on E-bay. Does anyone have one of those kits to sell? Quote

Does anyone have one of those kits to sell? ACS builds Bendix ignition switches... and build kits/parts... They sell their wares at aircraft spruce and others... But, their company is so small they don’t have much of a web presence... It might be better to call them up, or send an email... https://acsproducts.co/our-products/machined-products/ PP thoughts only, not a mechanic... Best regards, -a- Quote
