0TreeLemur Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 I have an old David Clamp headset with brass plugs that keep corroding and become intermittent. I ordered and received new replacement chrome plugs from Spruce. But, the new ones are stereo. With regard to the photo, when using a stereo plug to replace a monaural plug, do I connect to contact 1, 2 or both? Thanks. Free toaster to whomever answers correctly first. Quote
Jerry 5TJ Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 Both. Have you tried some ScotchBrite on the brass plugs? They should buff out bright as new. 1 Quote
EricJ Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 I could tell you but I do not want a toaster. 1 Quote
chriscalandro Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 Both. Potentially depending on how your headset is wired you could convert it to stereo. 1 Quote

chriscalandro Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 Yeah but if it has 2 headphone cups are the wires separated or is one jumped off the other? depending on how it’s wired it could be a pretty easy upgrade. Quote

My intercom is mono. I'd love to have stereo and a new PS engineering stereo audio panel with virtual surround, but that ain't gonna happen for quite a while. Quote
