ragedracer1977 Posted April 11, 2019 Report Posted April 11, 2019 My radio stack has some very very very thin tinnerman u type nuts. Appear to be made out of stainless steel? They're silver/shiny. I can't seem to locate them on aircraft spruce. Anyone have an idea where to find these, or a part number? Quote
wpbarnar Posted April 11, 2019 Report Posted April 11, 2019 Try https://www.gen-aircraft-hardware.com/template.asp?pagename=nutclip They indicate they can get corrosion resistant versions as a special order. Don’t know what quantity that would require ordering. They have been very helpful when contacted on the telephone. McMaster Carr offers snap in nuts in stainless. Bill Quote
Igor_U Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 I recently ordered mine from Spencer aircraft at KLPU. They have a good website as well. This is the link: http://spenceraircraft.com/tinnerman-clip-silver-6-32.html No picture but you can find it elsewhere, online. Or you can use these, more expensive Cadillac version: http://spenceraircraft.com/ms33737-11c-tinnerman-nut-instrument-mount-6-32-500-x-125-cadmium-plated-alt-part-a6939-632-493-nas487-15.html but make sure you have the right thread screw. good luck. ragedracer1977 Posted April 12, 2019 Author Report Posted April 12, 2019 Turns out I'm in luck. We're installing the new com in the radio stack. There were some filler panels that won't be needed anymore. And they were held on using 4 of the spring nut clip deals. Perfect! Here's what they look like: 1 Quote
