Yooper Rocketman Posted June 29, 2018 Report Posted June 29, 2018 I have a video of a flyby taken last night of my Lancair I want to use for a hangar party/open house I'm planning for August. It was taken on an Iphone and looks fine on the phone, but when sent to my computer it is sideways. I don't have a conversion program to fix this, and all programs I've looked at to perform this procedure require Windows 10 and I have Windows 7. I tried an "on line" service but that didn't work either. Probably doesn't help I am so computer challenged! I really don't want this circulated publicly, but would forward to someone willing to fix it for me. Tom Quote
eman1200 Posted June 29, 2018 Report Posted June 29, 2018 I have win10 and would be willing to give it a try if you'd like. Quote
kris_adams Posted June 29, 2018 Report Posted June 29, 2018 Hey Tom, maybe some of these ideas will help. I've used VLC as well with success. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-pictures/movies-copied-from-my-iphone-are-sideways-how-can/3c67cb79-e387-434c-8634-a7192df384ae Quote
INA201 Posted June 29, 2018 Report Posted June 29, 2018 Looked at the title “Rotate” and was thinking hmmm 65knots rotation speed equals 50 FPS but then I read the post and was disappointed. Oh well.....I don’t know how to rotate the video but can, however, rotate the Mooney. So ladies and gentleman if you only know how to rotate the Mooney it’s ok. Quote
eman1200 Posted June 29, 2018 Report Posted June 29, 2018 anyone aware of how to convert 'vertical video' to 16:9 ? that's what he needs, I believe. when I view it, it's not sideways, it's just what they call vertical video. 1 Quote
carusoam Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 Often... Posting the video in YouTube takes care of the technical difficulty... Copy the link from YouTube to here... Every now and then MS gets some improvements in this area as well... Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
Yooper Rocketman Posted June 30, 2018 Author Report Posted June 30, 2018 I downloaded it to YouTube and was able to set it for private access. It corrected the orientation. Thanks everyone for the help. Tom Quote
