David Mazer Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 My Mooney's annual is coming up in June. I am still looking for the "perfect" shop. Any suggestion in the central Florida region? If you believe a distant shop is worthwhile (like Mooney itself), help me understand why since I have always had residual issues and the travel has made it difficult and expensive to deal with them. tyrefoote Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 I have heard good things on this site about Daytona Aviation a Mooney service center. I'm based at SFB and plan on using them at my next annual. TF Quote
David Mazer Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 I am at SE Ramp at SFB. Where are you? Quote
tyrefoote Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 I'm on the low rent side, South West ramp T hanger 50. I think we may have met, I use to fly out of SE ramp and fueled the Mooney at the SS fuel untill someone complained. Do you also have a Sea Ray ? Quote
David Mazer Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 Indeed I do but there are many SeaReys at SERamp. There is even another Mooney/SeaRey combination You must have the 205. BTW, it wasn't I that complained and now you can only get fuel if you are a tenant and part of the coop. Quote
co2bruce Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Would recommend Premier in Ft Lauderdale. Mooney authorized, knowledgeable and thorough. Quote

KLRDMD Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Quote: Parker_Woodruff Don Maxwell in Longview, TX. Take your plane there. Quote
David Mazer Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 The guys at Rocket Engineering recommended Maxwell for some other work when I spoke to them last week. For those of you that have made long distance annuals, how did you deal with the follow up when it wasn't quite right? Quote

David Mazer Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 No. But, I have dealt with many others and have always had follow up issues. Sometimes I have just eaten the corrections because it was less expensive to eat it then fly there and deal with it. Quote
Kwixdraw Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 If Don could buy Mooney it would be a good thing for us as he knows what makes 'em tick. Quote
