MisfitSELF Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Does this site have a sticky for Mooney mechanic recommendations? Quote
carusoam Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 It helps if you post a location... You will get many better results... Add some data to your avatar. what kind of work are you looking to have done? PPI, oil change, engine swap, or prop OH.... or just an Annual? Best regards, -a- Quote
Guest paulie Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 I'm a Mooney familiar IA and have been told I'm sticky. Quote
MisfitSELF Posted August 30, 2017 Author Report Posted August 30, 2017 Thanks guys. I wanted to avoid the wise a** replies that go along the lines of "why didn't you just search before you posted, you idiot" Seems you can't win on the internet. Well I did search and didn't find a thread but I could still be an idiot. Ok, so I'll humor you: I'm 5 months from my first annual on my "new to me" M20J. I live in southern California and am based out of the Rosamond Skypark. There are several IA's and A&P's just on my field alone but I'm running up against a lot of "fear and loathing" when I mention the word "Mooney" The "unicorn" I'm looking for is a shop or a guy who really know Mooneys, is close by, cheap, someone who can help teach me how to do things myself and perhaps sign off on my work. And who can handle anything from an oil change to major overhauls. If I can't find the "unicorn" other recommendations are welcome. And I'll add some more info to my Avatar. Quote
Bob_Belville Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 We have MooneySpacers in SoCal. I suggest you edit the title of the thread to include your location to catch their eye for pireps. Quote
Mooneymite Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 As an "aside" (AKA thread drift) for people new to Mooneyspace, when searching for items of interest on Mooneyspace.com, I've had MUCH better luck using Google search than the search box on Mooneyspace. 2 Quote
Sabremech Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 Might suggest you take out "cheap" from your requirement list too! David, AP/IA. 2 Quote

Guest Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 I stopped being cheap some time ago, now I charge for all the things I've learned. Clarence Quote
