flumag Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 My fuel indicator on the right wing is gone. It become basically lose and fall off. (I still have it- not during flight). Could it glued back or do I need to change the full fuel gauge? Part number should be 880011-501 if I looked it up correctly. What approximately the price tag for such a fuel gauge? any recommendation where to buy? Thanks Hendrik Quote
mike_elliott Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 You can get a new one from Paul Beck, www.weepnomorellc.com or if your old one is undamaged, just use some silicone to glue it back in. Paul can give you specific instructions, but he once told me they are just silicone in. 1 Quote
DonMuncy Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 Yes, they just silicone in place. They have a little projection on one side to indicate how they go in. Easiest thing in the world. The only hard part is paying the $50 or so for it, if you lost it. Quote
thinwing Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 Your good...clean out old silicone than wash cavity with acetone or alcohol.Pop back in to test function...than a hefty drop of white silacon rtv....wipe excess tape for 24 hrs Quote
Robert C. Posted January 30, 2017 Report Posted January 30, 2017 i lost 2 in 2 years Thought it was hard landings but my A&P told me it happens quite regularly. A&P got new ones and glued them back in and I don't recall what he charged me. Quote
