Samurai Husky Posted November 4, 2016 Report Posted November 4, 2016 I'm late on this, but i was seriously near tears; I was kneeling on the floor repeating 'they did it' over and over again. I then preceded to rewind and watch the last out about 50 times before moving on to all the post game stuff; I am originally from the Chicago-land area, born and raised. I have a lot of fond memories sitting with my grandmother and watching the games with her as she was a huge cubs fan and lived through the 45' series. In 04' we all thought it was the year, but that team was relying a lot on luck that simply ran out. Unfortunately she isnt alive to see this, but i am sure she was looking down and screaming along with me. There are 100's of stories like this, it was a bond cubs fans developed through losing and heart break. Now i hope that we can develop new bonds based on winning. Here's to next year 2 Quote
