Big baseball fan here.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, I didn't think they'd ever do it!!

Thinking of all the miserable losses growing up... How cool!!

Congrats!!

I'm with Matt :D

My wife is from Arlington Heights and we lived in Evanston for 10 years. Always been drawn to rooting for underdogs, which they were for way too long. At least now i can start catching up on sleep....a few late nights this week.

I'm late on this, but i was seriously near tears; I was kneeling on the floor repeating 'they did it' over and over again.

I then preceded to rewind and watch the last out about 50 times before moving on to all the post game stuff; I am originally from the Chicago-land area, born and raised. I have a lot of fond memories sitting with my grandmother and watching the games with her as she was a huge cubs fan and lived through the 45' series. In 04' we all thought it was the year, but that team was relying a lot on luck that simply ran out. Unfortunately she isnt alive to see this, but i am sure she was looking down and screaming along with me.

There are 100's of stories like this, it was a bond cubs fans developed through losing and heart break. Now i hope that we can develop new bonds based on winning.

Here's to next year :)
