DaV8or Posted August 28, 2016 Report Posted August 28, 2016 Not me, my airplane! Born August 26 1966. I turned 50 years earlier. Forgot to post this on Friday. I wonder if any of people building her 50 years ago would have imagined it still plugging along in the 21st Century? 7
carusoam Posted August 28, 2016 Report Posted August 28, 2016 Happy 50th, 9289M! They built them strong. The bi-product is they last... Congrats, -a-
bradp Posted August 29, 2016 Report Posted August 29, 2016 I like that my Mooney is two years older than I. It's like the big sibling I never had :-)
bonal Posted August 29, 2016 Report Posted August 29, 2016 Nice, ours turned a couple years ago I bet back then they figured they would be turning them over every ten to fifteen years and no way the majority of the GA fleet would be over forty years old. A testament to how all these airplanes were made.
FloridaMan Posted August 29, 2016 Report Posted August 29, 2016 They say the B52 is planned to be in service until 2044 -- 92 years after it was initially in service.
