Welcome aboard V.

When the seal at the back of the shaft is missing... no oil pressure can be built in the prop...

The prop goes to the mechanical limits...

Lycoming provides lots of schematics on line... the engine manuals are around here somewhere... check the download section.  Use the search function...

Its all here somewhere...

How about a pic..?

Find the discussion on the hollow pins that this engine had...

The errant hollow pins allowed oil to escape that area... and the governor couldn’t keep up with enough oil flow...
