Everything went to plan! Great pre buy--and over all awesome experience digging into the plane. Flew our new (to us) M20F w/RayJay home on Friday. PSC>SUN>MTJ. Averaged 155kts the entire way, 12gph, at 13,000ft. Hit 174kts for a while at 15,000 and rolled the nose over for a hot second and BAM, 195kts.

Never left 25'' MP.

Wow. Thanks for all your advice and information--it helped immensely.

We had a pretty unhelpful cross wind, so TAS was around 5kts slower than GS during level flight. I was pretty impressed!

Congratulation!  That's a lot of performance in a turbo F.  It's also a very useful set up - there when you want it, off when you don't - a second power lever.

Enjoy your Mooney!  We are looking forward to more pictures and stories of your new capabilities.

Fly the pattern at the right speeds and you'll be fine - if it doesn't look or feel right, go around.  Every landing is a go around, many just end up smoothly touching down.

Congrats!  Enjoy it.  I'll look for your plane on my next visit to KMTJ, once it gets a little warmer.

beautiful airplane.

I think you might have knots and mph units switched though.  A TAS of 190knots would be quite a bit higher than any other TN M20F

@150-169 knots TAS in level flight, the 195 knots is ground speed with the nose pointed down.  His two posts were a little unclear but if you reread should make sense.
