Carl S Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 I'm pretty sure this is a pre-J model. Has anyone flown one? http://tinyurl.com/M-Cadet <edit> added hyperlink </edit>
231Pilot Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 I've never even seen one before, only pictures.

DaV8or Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Quote: N223MM I'm pretty sure this is a pre-J model. You are correct. Mooney made the M10 from 1968 to 1974.
DaV8or Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Quote: edgargravel I also believe that, at one time, Mooney owned the TC for the Ercoupe and the designs are similar, except for the twin tail of the Ercoupe.
Mcstealth Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 When Mooney did own the type cert for the Eurocoupe, they worked on the twin boom, by trying to eliminating it. My Fathers last entry in his log book before he quit flying, was flying this single boom Mooney/Eurocoupe, working down the hours for certification. The certification never happened obviously.
DanM20C Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 I'm an Ercoupe owner and new M20C owner. The story is Mooney bought the TC from Alon in 1968. They built 33 airplanes that were nearly identical to the Alon a2 and are know as Mooney A2a Cadet (twintail). Then they build 52 of the M10 Cadet. The M10 is the same airframe as the A2a but with a conventional tail. I have flown both the Mooney M10 and Mooney A2a. Very nice flying airplanes. The M10 has a little more ruder authority than the A2a but other than that they fly identically. For a 2 place, 90hp airplane, they are great. Dan
als Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Hi. I own a 1970 Cadet and am looking for the left exhaust stack. I called Univair and they told me they dont carry it. Does anyone know where I can obtain the exhaust system for the Cadet?
