Hi guys!

Does anyone know the part number of the instrument shock damping mounts for 1981 M20J? Is it LD J6984-64? And where is the cheapest place to get them? Any tips on replacing them?

Thanks!!

Looks like AS mixed up their photos.

I searched 'Rubber shock mounts' in their site.

https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/inpages/15-05498.php?clickkey=105040

This one has the picture that looks like mounts I used in my C.  They used the acorn nuts on the panel.

The other one in the drawing uses the style that looks like the modern instrument panel machine screws.

Don't accidently get the engine mounts in place of the IP shock mounts. Verify the description with the part number...

I am a big fan of AS, but I am not that familiar with the M20J...

Hope that helps,

When I replaced the ones on my C I used these: these. They are P/N 10-14700.

I found them by measuring what I had and finding what matched in the A/C spruce cataloge I believe. It's been a while.

$14 each?!! Why the price varies so much?

Wondering if anyone has the exat measurement so I can get the generic cheaper ones!

*Totally CB*

Thanks!

Tommy, 14$ is a rip!

I changed mine a couple years ago. I got them for ~4$ ea. from

http://www.midatlanticrubtber.com

If you are changing them you can get the ones with female threads instead of male. This enables you to use screws to hold panel that are flush instead of those acorn nuts.

PM me for details and I can share with you my technique for easily changing them!
