Mooneymite Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 Since there's no oil on the floor beneath those engines, we can assume there is no oil in them? 1 Quote
N33GG Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 Took a ride on one of those a few...er several... years ago at Oshkosh. SLOW liftoff, SLOW cruise, SLOW landing, and much of the fun was watching those engines right out the window. Extremely cool! Quote
mooniac15u Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 No selfie with the plane? 1 Quote

The EAA is managing the tour on contract with the owner. Quote
cliffy Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Had one in Page AZ a couple of years ago giving rides at the Air Fair. On the first trip around the pattern they blew a cylinder on the right motor. The barrel separated from the base and hung there. It was all they could do to get to the runway as at that altitude (DA of around 7500') it was going downhill on two going flat out. Quote
ryoder Posted December 18, 2014 Author Report Posted December 18, 2014 Scary. Good thing there are three engines. Quote
