Avionics Upgrade

Hello Im looking at doing a panel upgrade on my Mooney Ovation. Im looking at getting quote and starting the project after the first of the year. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good avionics shop in the N. TX area? Has anyone had any experience with Campus Avionics at Spinks Airport? or Select Avionics at McKinney Airport?

I've read good things about Select at McKinney but have no personal experience.

Is there anything that you may be selling (the rest of us might be interested).

I have had a lot of avionics installed in many aircraft, including two Mooneys.  I have used and been very pleased with Crystal Avionics in New Braunfels.  Not exactly N. Texas, but excellent work and very affordable.

 

My list of "recommendations" is short, while my list of "stay away" is long.  Caveat emptor.

+1 on Crystal Avionics, Avionics Unlimited in Conroe, Tx they are very good too. I have had work from both.

Check out Avionics 1st At Dallas Executive, those guys are great!  Jerry Johnson uses Campus Avionics for his work so I suspect they do quality work.
