I need a new pilots seat (frame) to complete an interior refurb project on my 1975 M20F. After upholstery was removed it was found that the frame was cracked and buckled and needs replacement. Anyone have one they want to get rid of for a reasonable price? Or know where I can find one?

When I was re doing the interior on my M20F I found the same thing. The upholstery shop gave the seat to the local sheet metal guy and he made it as good as new for a few hundred bucks. Much cheaper then buying a new one and if you buy a used one it will probably be cracked too.

I did the same with my E. The trim shop doing the leather had a local welding repair and brace the broken tubing.
