devildog Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 I finally located everything I needed to add the Accutrack II and the Accuflite to my Brittain wing leveler in my 1968 Mooney M-20-F and had the folks at Brittain check and certify everyting for installation. Unfortuantely, the Directional Gyro I had bought for use with the Accuflite is the wrong model. I was told by the Brittain people I need to buy one that is a 4000D-1 or anyone that is a G502A. I will take a broken one that can be repaired or a fully functional one. I checked and an overhaul of a non-working one wil run about $500 I plan to go ahead and have the A&P install everything that I have now and install the directional gyro whenever I find one. Quote
N601RX Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 I had to have the same one overhauled a few months ago. Berkshire Instruments in Co were the cheapest and fastest. Quotes ranged from $410 to over $800 and times varied from 2 days to 3 weeks. Quote
scottfromiowa Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 You will REALLY like your Accu-Flite with heading bug. They work fantastic! Quote
