dham1956 Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 Does anyone one know where I can find a takeoff distance chart vs the POH graph for a 231?
carusoam Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 When you find the chart, you can compare your plane's actual performance using the CloudAhoy app. It is best to use a WAAS source like sky radar for best accuracy. My point being. You can check how well your plane is performing against what the chart is saying. My O1 was off the ground in 800'. A standard O1 takes 1200'. Data from CloudAhoy.... manu damaschin Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Ussualy the performance are better than the POH figures (for the olders models at least, for the new ones the manufactures include some marketing tricks)...at least I can have better figures on the field with my 231/'84 than the POH. But why do you need anything else than the POH and your experience?
dham1956 Posted October 6, 2013 Author Report Posted October 6, 2013 The POH charts are fine. I just find them a bit tedious and the quality of the print/graphs is poor.
