  1. Amen
  2. Man, someone needs to introduce you to American craft beer. You are drinking crap!
  3. I believe Don Muncy uses Dugosh for his annuals. PM him and I am sure he'll provide any information you need.
  4. When were they last replaced? The Lord shock discs should be good for 12 years. Some had the original Firestone discs and those were shot after 5 years.
  5. I installed an EDM 700 in my C and I consider it the single best upgrade I've done to my plane. I prefer the 700 but you can't go wrong with either unit.
  6. We have to be super careful taxiing. This same exact thing happened to Jerry Johnson a couple of months ago where his noise wheel fell into a crack and caused a prop strike. If it happened to Jerry, it could happen to anyone.
  7. Thanks. They're on their was to Don Maxwell to be installed. Can't wait.
  8. From the album: #BigTex's album

Had the side panels reworked. Removed ash tray and had them add a leather insert and arm rests.
  9. From the album: #BigTex's album

Hector with Aero Comfort worked his magic with my front seats.
  10. From the album: #BigTex's album

Finally will be replacing the existing ratty carpet.
  11. From the album: #BigTex's album

Aero Comfort re-covered my glare screen.
  12. From the album: #BigTex's album

New covered yokes from Aero Comfort.
  13. This has the same look and feel of that Chinese website that was mocked up a few months ago.
  14. +1. I like to listen live as well... I just forgot it was the first Wednesday! Guess I didn't miss it. He's speaking several times at AOPA's Summit next week so that might be why he didn't have his usual webinar.
  15. Some pat on switches... Others yank on Johnson Bars...
  16. Call your insurance company and they'll send out an adjuster to look the plane over. They'll also ask that you get a couple of estimates for repairs. Scheduling an adjuster and obtaining repair quotes can be done in parallel.
  17. I'd also recommend uploading it to Savvy Analysis and trend it there. It's a free service that I actually like better than EZ Trends. Here's the website: https://savvyanalysis.com/home
  18. Mike, If you look at your maintenance manual, page 6-15, figure 6-11, you'll see a picture of the flap pump and valve assembly (assembly no. HE-626. On that picture, you'll see the screw that you'll have to adjust. The drawing state "turn the screw clockwise to slow the rate of the bleed off of fluid 8-12 seconds." Unless you have Don's Hangar elf, you'll likely have to have your mechanic adjust it. Let me know if you need this drawing.
  19. Interesting... Maybe some of our Mechanical Engineers out there that understand strength of materials can comment on if there a difference between rapid cooling and rapid heating on the metals.
  20. Now THAT is funny!
  21. Unfortunately Hector and Don is still working their magic so I'll not have a plane for this weekend. Guess I'll need to head down later in the month.
  22. Actually, I did something very similar with a temp fence along a taxi way. My scratch went right along the seam between the two outer panels. It also put a pretty good scratch down the underside of the right aileron. So the quotes ranged from $10k - $12k to replace the two panels and re-skin the bottom of the aileron including paint. I can itemize out what each panel cost and labor associated but my larger point really is don't assume that the repairs will be just a few hundred dollars especially is there's any re-skinning required.
  23. Yes Really. I didn't say there wasn't other ways to fix it but if the answer is to have it re skinned that's what you'd be looking at.
  24. Thanks... It looks like Hector was able to figure out that the holes are for so I think we're good. Thanks.
  25. Recently I forgot a chock on the nose wheel. Pretty embarrassing to have to shut down, get out remove the chock and climb back in. Ever since I did this I adopted a final walk around looking over the plane for items like covers, tie downs and chocks before climbing in into my new SOP.
