  1. Hi All, I can't seem to find a part number for my glass gascolator. Any ideas? I'm trying to replace the silicone gaskets and don't want to remove to replace until I have new parts. Thanks Chris
  2. OUCH! 18g is a lot. I have a S-Tec w/altitude hold in my B and I love it! Not sure I would " bit the bullet " at that price. Might be cheaper to upgrade to a Mooney with a previous install.
  3. The bass and two people. By the time we got there you would have thought we were Lear drivers!
  4. 1 zookeeper and 1 sub adult white handed Gibbon ( monkey ).
  5. I appreciate all the help and suggestions! Sounds like Harbor Freight it is.( Wouldn't mind having a set of my own anyway.) Thanks All!
  6. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone near the Shreveport area has a set of jack stands that they would be willing to rent out or loan for my upcoming annual in February?
  7. 2.7 ( should have been 2.0 ) shv - cvb 24kn head wind. Glad I was in a Mooney and not a C or P! I might still be flying or at least paying for fuel.
  8. Value of a plane with damage history!
  9. Made my first PNP flight about 2 weeks ago. I was the final leg of a three plane trip. Hope to be able to help again soon!

  11. David Bliss at M91 in Springfield, TN. He is very good with Mooneys. 4-5 based at the field. Call the FBO and they will transfer you. Good luck.
  12. I hate to beat a dead horse but exactly why can't we have this? I searched this site and either couldn't find it or was looking in the wrong place. Thanks for the responses in advance.

  14. 1961 M20B 301 TT 210 Mooney time $55000 Renewed for $968 yr
  15. Aeroshell 100W, oil change 25-30 hours and a sample to Blackstone twice a year. I average 75 hours a year.
  16. If you are in the area or near me ( Nashville )I would be happy to "take you up " if you would like. I have a B model, but you will get the idea. The wife & not so small dog and I travel to south Florida several times a year ( 700+ miles each way ) and don't get cramped at all.
  17. Great write up! Sounds like a trip you and your family won't soon forget. Congratulations!
  18. A trouble light with a 100w bulb inserted in the cowl and a sleeping bag over the top does a good job.
  19. I just tape either side of the seam ( 1/8 - 1/4 inch away ) with painters tape and lay a bead of clear silicone down. Cleans off easy during annual. Has worked great for years.
  20. Any help with where I can find one? Thanks in advance! Chris
  21. I have a Border Collie and he gets to go to the fly-in breakfasts we attend ( he loves sausage ). I'd start with a trip around the pattern first ( with some help to control your dog if need be ) and work into longer trips. No problem with the noise. The drone of the engine seems to put him to sleep after a while. Good Luck P.S Bring a towel ( You just never know )
  22. Try www.virginiaaviation.com they are listed as a MSC. They are at LYH. Go to maintance page and there is a link for a pre-buy. Didn't give a price.
  23. I don't mind the dammage as long as it was fixed correctly. I would have the seller send as many pictures as he could until you are comfortable enough to think about a pre-buy inspection ( it's a buyers market ). Then find a mooney service center for the inspection ( be there for it if you can ) and go from there. Good Luck!
  24. My '61 B got a 3-4 knot boost and seemed the db level went down as well ( mabey just wishful thinking ).
