  1. I might be able to make it. Work permitting
  2. I called AOPA today and old republic quoted $3093. So far that’s the best quote. Not too much higher than last year but definitely an increase

  5. Travers insurance contacted me today and said my rates were going way up. They told me the insurance company that they were using last year were underpricing policies and no longer writing. Here is where I am. 1998 201 insured for $160k total hours is around 250-260 I have about 60 hours in a Mooney. Last year I paid $2300 and she is telling me it’s going to $3800 no accidents and the plane is in an enclosed hangar. I am up for any suggestions you all might have. No IFR ticket but didn’t have it last year either. Thanks for any advice

  12. I know this may have been answered before, but on climb my instructor is telling me to throttle back to 24 squared in climb. I have a 201. I have read that some use WOT all the way. So my question is during climb do you use WOT and adjust the prop. I know this is a basic question but I have read several ways of different power settings in climb. Thanks for any advice.
  13. Time to put this to bed

  19. Yes, they are great. Never heard of any issues with them. I have seen $300k planes with them on. Very nice and durable.
  20. Bruce covers are really good. I would not pass up on the plane of your dreams waiting on a hangar. I have seen waiting list on some hangars that were over a year out
  21. Did the cold start last night and worked perfect. Thanks for the advice and the video
  22. Yes, new plane to me. still learning the planes characteristics. Thanks
  23. I think I primed too long and flooded it the last time. I will short prime it this time. Thanks
  24. Thanks for the advice. Thanks for the advice. I just wanted to make sure. I overprimed one time before and it was a difficult process getting it to start
  25. Question, you land and come back say 3 hours later. Do you hot start the plane or cold start?
