Re: S-Corp...true and not true. You can't operate an insurance group under an S-Corp if the primary shareholder in the group is also the Corp owner. There's that pesky group, husband wife thing again. Careful, don't name your wife an equal shareholder or officer and buy her insurance too, or you're screwed. In our case, she has always been treasurer and she was younger for insurance purposes. As a single owner, 100% stock owner, providing only for yourself, or one family plan, you can. This is new to pass through rules as of 2015 and designed specifically to kick as many warm bodies to the exchanges as they can get. The heart of small business.

You know, I just read a piece in WSJ about all of our new chain type urgent care facilities popping up everywhere. The market has been realized from the greatest of Obamacare's many failures, high deductibles. Walgreens, CVS and others are opening urgent care centers, not only as places where you go get an antibiotic for your sore throat, but some are buying MRI machines etc, hiring orthopedists and other specialists. The care is provided quickly, without appointment. The price is commensurate. People's outcomes are generally good and many prefer it to traditional emergency rooms. Developers see it as a plus because it draws "good" traffic to shopping centers where Blockbuster used to be. Doctors supplement their income or just flat out make more money. So this leaves us with Obamacare with all of it's problems providing exactly what it didn't intend to do. Privatized healthcare. And we can see this for what it is, privatization of medical care providing a better solution to a massive government run boondoggle. The free market and privatization of healthcare works.......in spite of Obamacare. Funny how our private economy works. Please...go to your computer and some how tell me this was a deliberate government idea and some how a planned intention of the ACA. Please.....find a way to strike down the very ideals of Republican economic theory. Please. By design, by MODEL, IN the law...not a couple of corporate meetings with Kathleen Sibelius or the cadillac tax cap. It's over 2000 pages, it must be in there somewhere.

Some years back, I sent mine to King, had it refaced, repaired, bench checked and yellow tagged for about $700. I looked and worked like a brand new radio. It has worked perfectly since.

I would refer you to steps one and two. Maybe you could start a cheerleading squad. The old mantra by the administration was...."well, when everyone sees how good it is, they'll like it". Funny, they don't say that much any more. The ACA has only 10 mil right now. Half of whom the ill , sick and poor, the other half, people who liked their insurance, but were forcibly kicked to the exchanges because of it's ridiculous "fairness", moral based provisions (only one is fair-"pre-existing cond"). In my case, no husbands and wives can be a "group", when two unmarried or other can. The ACA will be carved up like a fat, 25 lbs, Thanksgiving bird.

Patches have worked well for me over a 17 year run. I have a 1979 201 with the original sealant. There is a trick to it most Mooney service centers know. Fuel rarely (except bottom) leaks, weeps or seeps from the point of the leak. In runs through the wing an often exits someplace else. Rear, inboard leaks are problematic for IA's and must be dealt with because fuel is exposed in the exhaust stream. Somebody jump in and correct me if my understanding of the patch process is incorrect. The tanks get fully drained, gascollators come off. One or two top inspection plates come off. A soap solution is swabbed over a wide swath of the suspected leak area. The inspection plates are not replaced, but just taped back in place. Then with a vacuum cleaner or air gun, forced, clean air is added from the gascollator or elsewhere to see where soap bubbles come up. Then sealant is more exactly applied to the affected area. This process is money. Guess work and gooping your tank in large areas cost money and time and usually doesn't solve the issue. Patches DO work, if done this way. I have paid $2,800 for 3 patches over 17 years. My tanks don't leak, weep or seep in anyway. If you don't have a huge problem, this is cost and outcome effective. However, as you can see, I have reached my limit of cost effectiveness. I can not devote any more money without a permanent solution. But 17 years is a damn good run. Several have sharply disagreed with me on this board about operation. Sure, don't leave your plane outside with the tanks half empty all the time. You would be begging for problems. My belief is hard-hard landings and high speed-high load taxi turns also work sealant apart. But this is just my own idea. If I take care of the plane this way, I don't get leaks. One other word. If you smell a strong odor of fuel in your interior, you need to seek a permanent solution.

Canada's system is fast developing the same issues we have here in the states. It's a 1960's model that is a glaring example of there still being "only 52 cards in the deck". Germany is a great two tiered partnership of public and private institutions, but even they are seeing the bank break and are considering the idea of moving to non-profits. In America, political operatives asserted nearly 40 million people were uninsured. Extrapolating the young and healthy, chronically ill and 30 million illegal immigrants, we arrive at medium single digit percentages of Americans who were uninsured. In world rankings, Canada's outcomes are better than the US, but not by overwhelming percentages. Japan seems to be the model. I am open to learning more about it. We have forsaken it for a liberal wet dream, hastily authored, divisively enacted, citizen exclusionary, legislative failure that is poor in design and won't solve our problems short or long term. It was modeled after a test cell, Massachusetts, a very non-representative example of how most Americans live. Americans aren't ignorant, quite the contrary. They were the victim of a political power grab that provided no debate, few solutions and in the end, will be the law's unravelling. We have been more methodical with our space program, but not with people's lives. Our ACA is a mere attempt to copy european social democracy health systems, that in the end, are dated 1960's models and do not deal with the single common denominator all systems face. Rising costs. Obama deserves credit, only where it is due (a believe me, he will be credited for it endlessly to the disdain of more than 60% of Americans). He militantly moved the needle on the issue in a disruptive, counter productive way, leaving a path of destruction and government waste.....nothing else.

I was watching Charlie Rose last night...he interviewed former Treasury Secretary, Larry Summers. He seemed to think that the Saudi oil being so much cheaper, was the direct result of American oil production and not much else. And this guy was a CABINET member, in charge of our dollars!!!!! He then went on to suggest with oil prices so low....."...this is our big chance to get the carbon tax into law"........ more drool...... "yes....now is the best time for a fracking tax, a fuel import tax and new gas taxes"........ Now a Harvard professor, so he must know. Once your OAT is +4 to -20c, you need to be in the clear. I wouldn't mess around with it. The upper mid west in the winter is no place to flirt with moisture (IMHO) and getting stuck on top could be problematic. Unless you are certain you are above a deck that is no more than 1,500 feet thick. In the 201, you'll hear it on the prop first, before it accumulates on the windscreen or leading edges. Cycle the prop right away and boogie. "Snow" is overrated. Sure it doesn't stick to your wings, but what do you get? Zero-zero viz.

This is correct, because faith guides us through our daily lives. Atheist antagonism is not a seat at the table of fellowship, equal religious freedom, citizenship and worship, but instead a place where the angry, damaged and malcontent among us end up.
