  1. Yes... and prior to the gun ban being lifted, the entire country was amazed with its incredible effectiveness.
  2. I hear they own 4-8 Mile and even the most hardened hoodlims are scared of the Muslims. Let's hope that top notch police force up there doesn't start allowing no-go zones.
  3. A few dumb rednecks, not an entire sub continent. Not to mention, literally thousands of female genitile multilations in Great Brittain in the last decade and not a single guilty verdict in a court of law. We're fine. Our Social Democrat elite ruling class friends in Europe? Well, they have a teensie-weensie problem on their hands. Not to stir the pot even more. Any Detroiters or Buffaloians on board? How are our friends from abroad assimilating in these cities? Mealting pot? Or Salad bowl? Edit---- again Byron... I need you right here Buddy. The topic is gay persecution and Muslim extremism...you have gotten off your flight plan and have plugged gun control into your FMS. I can vetor you.
  4. This is dellusional. The fifth circuit case is gonna move up the food chain.
  5. No, but it is in the middle east. In fact you are murdered for it. Animals like this are defended daily in places like Huff Post and NY Times. It's time to call out extremism for what it is. Christians don't do it. Hindus don't do it, Jews don't do it...shall I go on?
  6. These types of laws are put forth to stop administrators and court clerks from executing their job by their own conscience, but rather, by the rule of law. You'll recall multiple cases where court clerks wanted to be ground breaking in their ideals. As for your comment about the Tea Party, they don't rule the legislatures of 36 states who don't view gay marriage as a supreme, high prioity in the public agenda. This argument is barking up the wrong tree. Run for office.
  7. I had exceptional experiences with Airtex. If any ashtrays are located in the side or door panels (not speaking of seat back), have an avionics guy install new headset jack insets. That would look real nice.
  8. I would get the G530W as you have pursued, but I would forgo the GDL-88 and spend the extra $3k on getting the ES transponder. The $3k is the GTX-330 non-cert price for Experimentals. Dealers want $4,400 for them certified + $1,200 for the ES, then $500-$700 for the install. I only offer this because The GDL-88 will likely be surpassed by many great ADS-B solutions later, Garmin or other. Also, Garmin is 100% proprietary with their offerings. Getting the ES will give you the traffic targets and will light up your own hockey puck for use with a Stratus/I-Pad combo (temporary for now) until a ga-zillion offerings start showing up in the next two years. With the ES...you are compliant now and give yourself options later and your TIS targets are going to show up on that 530W screen. One question, the 530 screen meets ADS-B screen size compliance under the mandate, right? It should. I would also suggest if you d-o end up getting the GDL-88, have your avionics guys make and plumb harnessing (terminated of course) for any future items to be installed in the tail cone, that way your interior won't have to be ripped out twice. The number one interior killer (IMO) is avionics guys.
  9. There is a no politics rule on BT. This has been pointed out many times on Mooneyspace, but BT is a for profit entity. If I am wrong on that (and they are a non profit), they have banner ads and someone is watching it 24/7 at some sort of compensation. Apples and oranges. Here, there seems to be a revolving door of 7-8 politically like minded people who purport their own community fleecing on MS. They are alone in their efforts. They become moderately unhappy and drop by to toss in their dismay. The same 7-8 who love to sample self proclaimed leadership, but fall short on action. If it wasn't the same 7-8 people over and over again, I'd consider it indicative of a majority. Clearly it isn't. This is a great community and proof that political thought can exist pretty well. On the otherhand...this thread might be a bit of a data-hog.
  10. There was a gentleman and his midlife son flying a King Air from Michigan to Chicago on Youtube with the exact same spelling of your last name. You have an almost empty footprint online, cleaver boy.
  11. Politics will always draw a bomb thrower. It is fine to be polarizing, or moderate or obsatin. Morally above it? Personally, if we think through politics and we are not biligerant, what's the harm? My $.02. Seperate? Equal? Sure. Obligation?
  12. And I would politely add, a pharma apparatus that has bilked us billions to facilitate defensive medicine. Sorry, until the TLA gets a handle on themselves, the ACA won't help. Now the civil targets are medical device people who are already taxed into oblivion and whose innovation is dimminished.
  13. Andy...you're getting soft on me. You were breathing fire in the fall. Are you still a stark-raving-Chicago-Obamafile-Pro-ACA cheerleader? Was that your Dad and you on Youtube in the King Air?
  14. But of course....and as Andy from Chicago loves to point out, malparactice only accounts for less than 1% of all healthcare expense. Yeaaaaahhh.......
  15. Symbolism? Group hug? Great quote: "Forgive me if a march for unity leaves me cold. It should be a march for war. This is not a time for a call for unity under the guise of tolerance, but for a unity of will – a collective fortitude necessary to destroy a movement that wants to destroy us. Most people get this. The media, not so much". by GREG GUTFELD Now, Gutfeld is half nuts, but like anything....if you stab in the dark long enough, you'll hit it.
  16. Would never!!! Hoist him on my back, take him to the ER. But I wouldn't help him fill out the paperwork.
  17. No, it's not the web. You know what this thread is when you enter it. Not offering solutions doesn't provide the means to find them. Esoterics questioning value judgements is a poor supplemnt, seem reasonable?
  18. Btw...pick him up, put him on my back and carry him to the emergency room.
  19. Here's the deal Anthony (btw...enjoyed meeting you at lunch the other day), there always seems to be a someone who needs the self affirmation of being above the fray, while wallowing in it. It's a political thread, it keeps the other threads clean and serves whatever purpose it does. The only thing worse, are the few passers by who feel the need to prop themselves up. Jump in, argue on merit, or move on. We value your thought, if it isn't a means buy which you credit yourself. As the great Stephen King defended his writings at the end of one of his introductions, "Why do people slow down to look at car accidents"?
  20. Free B-C. Funny story. We paid a holy mint for health ins. and my wife had a $10 deductible for pills. One month before the 2012 election, miraculously, suddenly, my wife's refills were all free!!!! We were paying nearly $2k a month health insurance for a healthy family of 6 and my wife wife went ballistic. Free PILLS????? Really??? I'd rather pay for them!!! She wouldn't leave until she paid her ten bucks, but the pharmacist said his hands were tied. True story, ya gotta love it.
  21. That spinner is a "D-Cup"
  22. $80k? Maybe per week and if a kid makes it to the Nick-U, some come home quick, but most don't...so it's more like a quarter mil. Now, about paying this money out of pocket? We may, but our immigrant neighbors from the south who join our huttled masses, don't. And of course we are aware of their excellent neonatal care. Lastly, insurance is either or. Everyone will soon be taxed if they aren't insured (to the extent of burden). NICU-NEO Doc's....... purely a function of malpractice insurance. In Maryland, half of our Obsetricians have quit. Why hasn't the ACA solved these issues?
  23. I was going to ask Byron for a dual selfie, just so there was proof. /:-) Awesome time.
  24. Pitch, if VFR pattern work. On instruments or short fields ops, it would be the oposite, pitch for path-power for performance, in that case. Flying the pattern, though? Pitch.
