  1. Mucho thanks....nice seeing everyone.
  2. Warn your eye doc about the length of FAA forms to fill out. Post cataracts surgery, my doc spent an hour filling out the forms for my medical. At 20/200 and 20/15, that shouldn't make you a SODA candidate, can it?
  3. SAG-Yes, I am one of the top voice guys in the country. I am on tv networks, affiliates, trailers, national commercials, etc. You are in Jacksonville, right? I voice both Fox and CBS there.
  4. This is not the Heritage Foundation's current position. This was to thwart the Barney Frank's and Ted Kennedy's view of the world in 1989. It predated the recession, Silicon Valley, Al Gore's internet, Hillarycare, 35 million illegal immigrants and the events, post 2000. The ACA will be gutted in short order to be only a fraction of it's current incarnation, a federal handout to the sick and poor among us. If they wanted to tax us to this end, they could have done so without dragging every other American into fewer health choices, higher premiums and EXTREMELY higher back-end deductibles. In Maryland, Obamacare forced my family from United Healthcare to the exchanges. Under the ACA, it is now illegal for that bastion of American small business known as the maw-paw shop, to operate as an independent group. We were forced to the front door of the ACA exchanges. In Maryland, there is nothing but a $1bil budget shortfall, fucked up website and only three insurance choices.....HORRIBLE! What did I do? I opted for my cadillac union plan (thanks Barrack). As a member of the Screen Actor's Guild, me and my family now enjoy a cadillac plan at 1/8th the cost of the Maryland exchanges with one half the deductible. The ACA is weak...it won't make the cut. Fair competition and reasonable controls will make the best healthcare system in the world.
  5. Carl Rove is a known political operative. Gruber was hired as an expert consultant for the specific implementation and subsequent debacle of Obamacare, only. Both ran their mouths after the fact. Problem is, Gruber didn't know when to shut up and Carl Rove never underestimated the intelligence of the American voter.
  6. Yeah....but what's wrong with that? Seniors are a rich voter base. Kind of like a sweetheart, union suck-up, bail out of GM and buying the states of OH and MI for 2012. Rustbelt votes, senior base......ya know. Kind of like that.
  7. Ya know, I love when dems tout all of this good, but it is underpinned on debt....staggering debt. Treasury is about to stop printing money and buying bonds from Wall Street. This will be timed exactly in the lap of our next Republican administration. It's purely a political move. Regain did it with star wars spending. Problem is, no matter how hard they try, Obama ain't no......welllllll, you know.
  8. Yeah...yeah...yeah. Then explain asshats like Gruber.
  9. Alright...that's it.... I am coming to Iowa and tee it up with you and SFI.
  10. Ya know....the isolationism, the complete legalization of narcotics, political pandering to the NAACP, comfy with Obamacare....attributes that don't float my boat. I think he is brave, shrewd and smart. I am glad we have so many doctors involved in politics. He'll move the needle. Huff Post and other liberal rags love him and tout him, until is is game time. Then there'll be no love.
  11. They aren't predictions, they are mere fact...they happened. Are we smarter? Better? Are we so full of ourselves that we think we can post statistical charts comparing terrorism to having a heart attack? C'mon man.
  12. I don't know.. There was a great piece in WSJ recently that suggested we may never see a moral majority type leader ever again. It is the Rand Paul kind of Republican that scares me. Great dude, smart guy, but liberal when it suits he and his Dad. If Jeb Bush don't count, I'll take that bet, yer gonna regret....... Now, I could never call you "Ass", so what is your name and where are you based?
  13. I have a higher view of our political process. I think it works. There are just wild oscillations and waves that we have to live through. Brother-man is all alone and will be on the record with his veto pen. People ain't buying free community college for everyone. They know we're broke. The Treasury spigot is also about to be turned off (just in time for 2016). This is a mess that will take decades to fleece. Hillary can't rally liberal splinter groups and social media is now an almost even playing field.
  14. Right, you had nothing a second ago, suggested I admit I am fool and then dismiss yourself. I don't get it. You and I are famous. I'd love to call you every name in the book, but I don't. Argue political thought on merit or quit crying.
  15. They aren't predictions, they are fact, not unlike the dumb chart. Again...deflect and urge me to admit foolishness. The frustration of a liberal feeling political power, slowly ooze away.
  16. This works well for the "global relativism" crowd and states only the obvious. When we wake up in the morning, we all know what our chances are. But we also know one terrorist attack can stun air travel, ground your airplane, shut down our financial markets, ruin political aspirations, entangle us in war and instill fear in our masses. This kind of really dumb shit works well for people who like to explain away failures in public policy and international weakness. Blasé' liberals and libertarians alike, who don't argue on merit, but instead, deflect and seek moral and statistical equivalency.
  17. I brought this up on the Mooney Facebook page. I have a Nascar buddy who owns an Aerostar and he suggested four point harnesses are not the thing to get anymore. There is data in the racing community suggesting in accidents, occupants in 4 point harnesses are "submarining" under the lap belt and that 3 point harnesses are just as good as 4 and 5 point systems are now the thing to get. Can anyone confirm this notion/data? Likewise, a 3 point installation is a 2-3 hour job with paperwork. 4 point can be several hours to days in labor (drop the headliner, rivet and bolt work). In a 6G crash, nothing is gonna help you, but my interest is not having my spine severed in an otherwise, very survivable off airport, low G crash landing. I just had Alpha 3 points installed in the Bonanza. It was a tricky STC that frustrated my mechanic to the point he called the STC holder. You will also have a drill hole on the outside left fuselage. In the Mooney (J), I bought modern 3 points from the factory. The MAC stuff is real high quality and there is no STC to deal with. Worth the $400 bucks.
  18. I may be in. I was going to meet up with Alan and go to Repuiblic looking for salvage planes, but I'll call Alan and just plan on seeing you guys.
  19. Right....or "leading from behind". And in the face of right wing pressure to curb travel, protect the American public and have protections in place, he thumbed his nose. Which is it? OOOooooo...that's right, science vs. half of the electorate. Don't hear anyone second guessing Christie or Cuomo, do you?
  20. Yes, and how is that going in Africa? Well, the way it went for the past 3-4 outbreaks from 1985 until now. It naturally ran it's course and it killed. In the three previous administrations, it was not part of our national agenda. The fear mongering began with a President and administration who viewed this as a national priority. There was a marked increase in the epedimc this time because populations there are growing exponentially. Per capita infection was comensurate to population growth. So in the end, what do we have? The first President in history who made this his personal effort and inappropraitely, a national prioity. If it should not have been feared, why the preoccupation? This can be said for sure: as a direct result of the President's agenda, a hemorrhagic African virus from fruit bat bites and eating fruit bats, was intentionally allowed on American soil for the first time and exposed a staggering ineptitude at our CDC. The public was rightfully aroused. And where is that crazy red headed nurse from Maine, these days?
  21. Here ya go CB...houseboat sounds like a smart idea....
  22. Because Garmin won't let anyone play in the sandbox. Thank goodness for Aspen, Avidyne, the resurgence of King and others.
  23. I called JL Osborne recently and John was bitching about it. "Taxifornia" he said.
