  1. Generally speaking when a flux fails the reading is 60 degrees off in either direction...These do fail ....If the system works in the non slaved mode , it has to be in one of three components (assuming that the wiring is correct and in tact) The Flux valve , the remote gyro , or the slaving accy.... The flux valve and slaving accy use the old style century barrel connectors , as Jose" stated you can try checking the connection on the flux , while you are there take a DVOM and check continuity on the flux itself.....There are 5 terminals , you should have continuity between two pins (E and H ) , and the other three (A,B,D) .... It is a very simple circuit and easy to check , also the gyro should supply 10 volts A/C voltage out to the flux for the stator (pins E and H ) .... I have all parts for this system , if needed...

  9. No the real value in this airplane is to buy it for 110 , fly it for 5 years and then sell it for 85K , The only thing it needs is tanks resealed and the fact that its leaking around the panels it may be a cheap fix , would need further inspection, maybe a set of gear stacks.......
  10. Jose' , do you think that bolting a boat Zinc on to the block as a sacrificial anode would be worthwhile on one of these??
  11. Clean history , looks like 1 owner...
  12. It was geared up in 2004 by current owner , teardown and three blade prop.....Spoke to owner.......Bidding starts at 7000....
  13. I would say someone with the experience of Mr Monroy can wing it and be close enough , I like to think that I am pretty knowledgeable on these things, but I tried to rig my E using the counterweight alignment and flap fairings , and I was 3 degrees off on the flaps....The travel boards make it easy and simple.....Keep it simple..... Rent or borrow the boards and rigging will take about an hour or two.....Its not Rocket science if you have the right tools....
  14. Yes the solenoid is energized by providing a ground , so the solenoid has to get its power to one side of the coil..... That jumper provides the power...
