  2. I take a long bungee , hook it to the copilots left rudder pedal , wrap it over the copilots yoke , attach it to the pilots yoke .... Done .. High tech too...

  6. Guys I don't know if I mentioned this or Not , but Dave Mathison of Airmods Mooney service center in Robbinsville , has been a tremendous resource for parts , If you need parts , he has huge hangers filled with Mooney parts , and gets orders from Mooney every day ,
  7. Part # 1 is the culprit , the arm coming off of it where # 22 bolts up is the point of failure.... The weld fails...
  8. Three blade prop located check sent , two blade will be shipped to Cody Stallings for an overhaul , if the blades measure up..... If they do I will have a three blade Hartzell top prop for sale......
  9. Also the Crank dialed a big fat ZERO , life is good.....
  10. Well , I replaced the rudder jackshaft , 3.5 hours removal , 2.5 hours install time , Also installed the wingtip , have to have the paintshop look at the skin at the tip to see if it needs love or replacement , but definitely good enough to ferry ,
  11. Ok , I think from careful examination of the parts , the steering/rudder jackshaft failed , and this caused the accident , It should be of concern to owners of these legacy aircraft.....It is enough of a problem , that Lasar makes a beefed up version of the part...... The replacement I used was the beefed up version....
  12. Spoke to Dan at Lasar . He said it comes out from inside , he laughed when he said they built the whole airplane around that part...I chuckled a little too..... We will see how much I chuckle when I have to actually start working on it....
  13. Has a pair of KX125 , GX55 , KI209 , Brittain B5 , 2001 overhaul by Performance Aero , JPI 830 , etc...
  14. The " Boogie man " is bringing one back this time , it is a 65 E with 2200TT , and 6XX on the engine , should be a relatively short project ,
  15. I am resurrecting another 65 E model , This one challenged a snowbank , and I would consider it a draw.....The question is , has anyone here ever replaced the rudder belcrank that is driven by the pedals , it is about 20 inches long , with 4 3 inch arms coming off of it , one arm drives the steering link , the other arm drives the rudder control rod , and the other two arms are driven by the rudder pedals... it appears the only way I can see , is to un rivet the side of the cabin at the bottom , forward of the wing , Any advise , is greatly appreciated......
