  12. If you donate to a 503c , and the donation , is used for its intended purpose for three years , you will get a tax credit for the appraised value , which is always substantially more than you can sell it for...
  13. Explain how you can have too much fuel...
  14. Think of it this way , Because I am slow and dirty , I can carry more altitude further in ( easier to descend fast dirty) I am generally still above 2000 agl 8 out , more altitude = more glide .... Its a safety thing for me.... If you are really worried about burning an extra few pints of fuel , you need to find a new hobby , Search the threads here , 100 k airplane destroyed because fuel was cheaper elsewhere.......Yes I know , not a very popular statement , I'm not here to win a popularity contest .... Here to learn from others , help others , Break Peters balls......
  15. I think in this case , it wont get to that , Neither myself or Peter care what the other says or thinks....Just mindless entertainment....
  16. I figured you were in a landing config , I usually have the gear down , the prop forward , and the approach flaps down about 8 miles out , full flaps about 3 miles out..... I'm a bit of a wuss though , at 5 miles , I am still over 2000 feet agl...
  17. All good Peter Garmin...... Mooneyspace has a very large penis , and its YOU !!!!
  18. Grumpy middle aged man.....Short too....Maybe a little bit of a "Napoleon" complex going on also... And I totally agree with these threads providing good info...

  22. No not at all , the caps were directed to really drive home the lesson to ANYBODY willing to learn....
  23. Not trying at all , that's why I precluded with respectfully , Respectfully !!
  24. Wuss....
  25. Respectfully , best glide is attained , with the gear UP , and the flaps UP , and the plane ALREADY at the determined speed , Don't know about you , but I don't fly a J model in the pattern , or on approach , with the wheels UP , or the flaps UP , and certainly not at 90 KNOTS.... So Take that 80 seconds and cut it in half , Flaps and gear will decrease your glide SUBSTANTIALLY , also how much altitude will you lose pitching the nose down to gain the needed 10 to 15 knots to get to best glide???? Lets not second guess someone who made lemonade , with multiple LEMON TREES !!!!!! AND PLEASE DO NOT BE THE NEXT GUY TO RUN OUT OF FUEL........ ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TRYING TO SAVE MONEY BUYING OFF FIELD !!!!!!!
