  1. I know there are occasional operating system upgrades that have to be done by an avionics shop. If they "like" you, it's free, otherwise maybe fifty bucks.
  2. OK, so I'm late to the party...what do you need from us, Norm; is there a checklist for data?
  3. Quote: AlexR You look at your engine instruments much more than the audio panel and gear lights.
  4. This might be a fair deal, Scott. Good luck! http://www.sea-avionics.com/lc/cart.php?target=productDetails&model=KI-209A&substring=ki209
  5. Correct....LOP/ROP.....use the red knob a little!

  7. ....and I'm sure we all enrichen a bit as we decent, right?
  8. Lear Jet pilots have some things in common with some GA pilots.
  9. The Outer Banks are going to get hammered by Irene :-(
  10. Kind of reminds me of a 231 Parker and I looked at when we were at Tampa Exec. Mostly original, with a history of two gear ups and a prop strike. You would have to get it for nothing to invest what was needed for it to reach average market value. Way too much work, unless you were going to do it yourself.

  12. No loss of focus here, and a superb landing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgdIE2t8QkM?

  14. Quote: Kris_Adams Kind of funny that the Bonanza/Baron guys continue to hang out on the Mooney board....
  15. Bump.... Is there any great benefit for loading FF 4.1, if we're not planning on a Canada trip?
  16. Quote: jetdriven This is why the manual gear Mooneys are worth the same as electric gear ones. Because the manual gear is simple and works well, the electric is easier to use but has a potential 3000$ worth of stuff to go wrong between the actuator, gearset, and landing gear relays.

  18. It's so refreshing to finally have a "balanced perspective", rather than just one more opinion.
  19. Anytime a complete redone interior is shipped, the chances of small pieces being misplaced on, either end, is high. Screws, covers, carpet, trim, whatever. No big deal, because Jose and the guys at Aero-Comfort always folow-up immediately, no matter who was a fault. These guys can't be beat, really! Oh, and thanks, Mike.
  20. Quote: N4352H Is yours Aerocomfort Gary?
  21. Quote: Shadrach Merely the refuge of "men" who don't know what it feels like to have a large shaft to manipulate.
  22. If you schedule it in advance, the cost is less to have Aero-Comfort do the install, rather than Don's A&P's who get quite busy also, plus there's the shipping costs both ways and the little extra pieces that are usually missing.
  23. I know it's been pointed out before, but real men don't need to pull their Johnsons
  24. Quote: rainman I'm new to the Mooney world having just gotten my 231 a couple of months ago. I need to redo the interior as it's original from 1979. I'm in San Antonio and have heard great things about a local company Aero-Comfort. The price seems good, has anyone worked with them. The photos I've seen look fantastic.
  25. Quote: MATTS875 ..needs a new paint job but i am going to fly her just the way she is for a couple years....
