So, I printed two different triangle wedges to see witch one I like more but the idea is to lean the iPad towards the pilot side a little without blocking the RPM & MP gauges.

Ahh got it… Yes, It is a Century IIB AP and it worked just fine before I got rid of my vacuum system & AI. Feel free to DM me with reasonable offer.

Radio coupler? Not sure what the coupler is? I have the both selector controls, the one you see in the picture and the main one that is located on my throttle quadrant. As far as the servos are concerned, I haven’t removed them yet and don’t plan to until I upgrade to a GFC 500.

Since these photos have been taken, I’ve already installed the last piece of upholstery on the door, fix the overlay on the emergency gear handle and 3D printed a wedge to mount my iPad. I’m in the process of 3D printing the plastic trim cover for the fuel selector and drain area. Also, a trim piece for the gear down indicator on the floor.

I’m selling all avionics in this current picture at far market value or just below. Feel free to make me reasonable offers on anything. I will also give a full lot discount if you take everything. I will take individual picture later next week and post accurate details. All items are in good working order other than the ADF.

Well, it’s been a minute since I’ve been able to attend a meetup. Anyone know of anything going on in the next month or so? Pancake breakfast still a thing? Taco Tuesday? Air shows? Maybe a car show in close proximity of an airport? As you can see, I’m just looking for an excuse to fly somewhere.

KHWO - The old pelican training center hanger is owned by a guy named Ranko now. He will let you tie down for a few days or weeks at an reasonable cost.

Hi guys... I am looking to replace my ACK ELT switch because the screw hole corners have broke off. My questions is, can I replace it with a different brand switch? Options? I'm not fan of the current switch, it seems a bit frail. ELT Switch.pdf

Todays progress... I managed to remove all unessential wiring from behind the my panel and some decommissioned components out of the tail. Audio Panel and New Comm harnesses are in the build process, along with two new panels being made by NIMBUS. I can't wait to find out how much extra usable load I'm gaining. So far it feels like I've removed about 60lbs total with the vacuum system gone too but that's just a guess.

Had to leave for week for work to get more “fun coupons!” I had a few hours yesterday to gain a little more progress on the carpet install. I still need to cut the holes for the, gear down and fuel tank selector. I love every part of my Mooney and really enjoy the engineer behind how it was designed but where they put the fuel selector in my model is absolutely the stupidest thing on this plane. What the hell were they thinking?.?… The primary engineer must have called in sick that day. Ok, that’s enough venting I’ll get back to work.

The units are great! They do everything they say they do and with precision. Calibrating them was fairly easy for the most part its straight forward. The AOA is a little tricky… It helps to have a safety pilot with you right figures down when doing stall maneuvers then adjusting settings, etc… I wanted my AOA spot on so, I might have been a little excessive with the calibration.

Side question does anyone fill their tires with nitrogen? Is that a thing in aviation?
-
I haven’t tried them but just might. I wouldn’t be worried about them holding up on a plane as i would on a truck that goes through mud, water, sand, etc… My friend does have them on his dual axe boat trailer, with no complains. It’s funny we were just talking about putting them on my plane the other day before this thread popped up.

Who would you go with?

Looks like a pair of these, a floor jack with some minor fab work to receive the triangle lift point and you're done. Am I missing something? The low and high length looks good. No need to worry about leak downs, it has locking pins and its way over rated at 10 Tons.

Thanks for the insight and tips. Do you know the thickness of your insulation?
