  1. Don't see that they are available for the Bravo.
  2. 76% LOP. Buy a Bravo! #1 always hottest for me. Lets look at your baffling.
  3. Going to see if I can extract my engine monitoring data. Haven't done it since the G3X install but the engine module is the same going from GI275 to G3X. Still annoyed by #1 being hotter than the rest by generally 15-20 deg. OATs were between 46-51 at 115-120. I did this same run back, seemingly many years ago in my R182 (5.0 ~50gal) vs Miss Daisy (3.8 ~55gal). There was an Ovation ahead of me that was 20 knots slower so he agreed to speed up and I pulled some power so we could get good spacing. I was running 24"/2200, 14.5gph LOP.
  4. https://www.apaflyers.com/fleet $329 dry. Love to take this one and cruise at 220kts!
  5. I currently have UL - 1053. I have LR tanks so 118 gallons leaves me with 345 for pax and pudding.
  6. Gained 78.5# UL (already been argued) during the 2021 avionics install but the CG shifted 2.24" (44.1 - 41.86). I am certain the 2022 avionics upgrade was a wash W&B-wise. An MT prop might be the only thing that saves me (emotionally not financially). I'll do the weight because getting approval for an extra 6# of junk in her trunk sounds as about 1/3 as expensive as a beautiful four bladed propellor but with more bang for my buck. Hugz Mooniacs. The avionics rack.
  7. Stormscope (7#), signal generator (14#), static inverter (.3#), miscellaneous trays for all of the equipment. I looked up the weights when I removed them. That's 21.3
  8. 41.86 - 2315 - UL 1053. @N201MKTurbo How much weight do you think was in (my now empty) avionics bay? Stormscope (7#), signal generator (14#), static inverter (.3#), miscellaneous trays for all of the equipment. Also replaced the old ELT with something a few pounds lighter, not to mention what had to be 1.5 tons of cannon plugs. @LANCECASPER I wasn't thinking entirely practically. I consider the sand, which is a gym bag, more or less permanent. I thought was I would gain 15# overall which is currently taken up by deadweight, if I put something in a space that already had carried around 25#.
  9. Good morning. I can't remember what day it is or whether I have asked this question already. My initial idea was to put 6 extra pounds of Charlie weights because that is the most bang for my buck but Mooney engineers didn't want to touch that idea. My avionics compartment is empty. Because of the forward CG shift I put 50lbs of sand in the luggage compartment. That would equate to about 35lbs of fixed weight in the avionics compartment. Seem like owner level stuff if I can fabricate a box with some weight and attach it using the existing holes on the avionics tray. Saving 15lbs and an aft CG = 2kts Thoughts? Be gentle.
  10. Seems a simple fix they reattached, ran the gear 5x and voila.
  11. Looks like a cotter pin sheared. Doesn't line right up so will take some experience to get it to fit back on the clevis. Damn she needs a bath bad.
  12. Hmmm. Just saw the same issue today. Headed back in to identify the broken part. Damn. I guess you can fly with it like that because this was after landing.
  13. I have only flown in (twice) in an R182, non-turbocharged. It just isn't a big deal. Read the chart, know that you aren't their priority and be prepared for a beautiful approach and at least $80 landing fee.
  14. Definitely take the belly pan off. Found a fitting under there that was letting in air once (no apparent leak though) and had the master cylinder rebuilt as it was leaking too. My left brake still get mushy on occasion. Had the shop change the oil and rebleed the left.
  15. If it is only dual, I'd be one puck short of a triple. I guess that will have to suffice.
  16. Having consistent issues with the brakes getting mushy and requiring a rebuild. Time to upgrade to three puck brakes?
  17. I hijacked the thread to an extent, I mean I'm not even in NC, but if the OP wants to fly out here and pick me up I will give him some incredibly mediocre dual.
  18. I logged plenty of safety pilot time and time under the hood. It is loggable time and valuable to somebody with the goal of flying and getting paid for it someday, unless you are independently wealthy. I am merely independently handsome.
  19. That I am always "current" is the best thing going. Of course my personal minimums are a bit higher. Sorry for hijacking the thread OP. If I was there I would split time with you.
  20. I am not a pilot if I am instructing? Well you are not a pilot if you are CFIing. Tell that to the student - yer on your own lil fellah.
  21. Also not true. I am a CFI. I can log without the left seater under foggles.
  22. Wait I can't log PIC, without a sport pilot license? Noooooo.
  23. I'm not mixing anything. I have two PIC types, one in the left seat for one plane and one in the right seat for another plane. I never log PIC, even though I am acting PIC in the left seat when the CA takes a nap. It is a fun discussion nonetheless.
  24. Required crew members also log flight time, whether at the controls or not. Not everybody sitting the left seat is "PIC qualified" the captain is only allowed to sit in the seat for 8 hours, some of our flights are 11 hours long. If you dig deep enough there is plenty of discussion related to required crew members, augmented crew, etc - if three are required, they are required. One logs PIC the others log SIC.
  25. Yes. People do that all the time. Flew with a number of people over the years that were willing to pay for half - whether it was a flight school plane, my own, or their own.
