  1. For the Mooney Summit day three, there was a story about the Mooney that landed with an unconscious CO poisoned Mooney pilot. Did anyone happen to record this? If so could you let me know? -Thanks, Trevor M.
  2. That's a first, never heard that one
  3. Yeah, with the lack of details it leaves me to wonder why it has so many ups and not so many downs for the price?
  4. So, Earlier I was browsing Trade-a-plane. I came across this 1971 Aerostar E model. I'm looking over the ad and it is advertised as having "New Glass", "Leather" and a "Fresh annual". With a fresh beautiful paint job done in 2015! But, what I cannot get over with this bird is the extreme low price of it listed at $37,000. There has to be something wrong with it at that price. Corrosion on the spar maybe, can anyone elaborate? The engine is low time as well, 450 SMOH. 4200 TTAF Link: https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?category_level1=Single Engine Piston&make=MOONEY&model=M20E&listing_id=2275515&s-type=aircraft
  5. The PS Engineering PMA8000G, a new audio panel with plug and play interchangeability with Garmin's GMA340 audio panel. $1895 3 Year factory warranty 6 place audio stereo
  6. Sadly she is, but I wasn't not gonna bring her up ever Mooney deserves a chance. I wasn't sure if you had the means or the time to give her the love she deserves .
  7. I agree it's a wonderful photo!
  8. We're gonna be headed up to triple tree aerodrome for the eclipse fly-in.
  9. That's awesome, you should show Al.
  10. Here is a '62 C that appears to have geared up...https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?category_level1=Single+Engine+Piston&make=MOONEY&model=M20C&listing_id=2275420&s-type=aircraft ~price bid ____________________________ Here is a '67 F That's been sitting awhile.....https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?category_level1=Single+Engine+Piston&make=MOONEY&model=M20F&listing_id=2266359&s-type=aircraft ~price $20,000
  11. I'd check the rigging of the controls, or the flaps. My uncles D/C has a droopy right flap that causes the airplane to drift in flight.. Check with your A&P to check over all of your flight controls and flap system it could be as easy as renting the jigs from Mooney and re rigging the controls.
  12. I think once you get accustomed to Florida you're used to the fact that you can have clear sky's ahead and look behind you and there are massive cells forming behind you.
  13. They're absolutely gorgeous.
  14. What a pretty machine, I'd love to see her restored to her original glory, for the time she was away allowed not that much time on the air frame she has to be still "new".
  15. I'd like to get the logo they used in the '60s on my leg, nothing crazy or big something simple related to my favorite brand. The actual logo minus the actual writing "MOONEY".
  16. Robert I was referring to your previous statement in reference to reporting to the NTSB. =>
  17. Curious what percentage of the u.s fleet is retract and non-retract.
  18. Update; @Bryan only the C130T Aircraft have been grounded
  19. @jlunseth Someone said this well, When you see a Mooney on radar you often see Two blips, one for the plane and one for the pilot. The speed is nice but it can be dangerous. Some pilots try there best to stay ahead of the Mooney but then they forget. Another scenario is complacency, the Mooneys are the wrong airplanes to become complacent in, the speed makes complacency all the more deadly.
  20. I hope the occupants are ok, is the air frame totaled? Looks like she might be bent
  21. Upgrade to WAAS capability, ADS-B compliance, and new digital comms or get a GTN650 so you have 2 radios. Maybe Dual G5's? or an Aspen unit for PFD. As well as a digital engine monitor.
  22. You don't? If you are not required there is no reason to put yourself in more of a mess than you are already in. The insurance company is going to be your biggest issue, and convincing your wife to fly with you again , Because of the fact that you are not requires to report to the transportation safety board there is a gap in the statistics used in this video. Or any other for that matter. @RobertGary1
