  1. Thanks - thats what I was looking for. 99% sure I don't have a lifting eye or doghouse support.
  2. It should be visible from the front of the aircraft correct? - and I don't see one on mine.
  3. Is a lifting eye usually installed only while mounting a motor? I don't see one under my cowl. Which one is required for an M20c? Spruce is out of stock. We are looking to replace motor mounts and assembling the supplies.
  4. Rusty at ICS services in Hummel County Field VA does tanks. Not sure what he will charge total for the job but his shop rate is $60/hr.
  5. Good to go. Picked up a 76C for under $250.
  6. I was hoping to place an order from just one vendor. I was getting the mounts from spruce hence my request for info, I'll call Don.
  7. Can anyone give me a aircraft spruce parts number for the 1/8 and 1/16" engine shims for an M20C?
  8. What model SIRS is best for a 1965 M20C? Backlight or nonbacklight? Looking for a direct replacement of the OEM whiskey compass.
  9. PM sent - Ill take it.
  10. I have a 327 lined up for $250 but the 1700 installation quote is unreasonable. Need to get the install cost down for me to even think about a 327.
  11. It needs a WAAS source and my plan is to install an IFD440 which is not on the ADS-B STC for the KT74. Its a pretty expensive gamble.
  12. Thanks everyone! Currently pricing out a KT76C. Primarily because it comes with a warranty. I'm not in a super big hurry anyway because I won't be able to fly until probably June.
  13. I broke my leg and my KT76A on the same day. I need to get a transponder installed in order to get my M20C flying. I'm also trying to find a couple of local mooney flyers to put an hour or two every couple of weeks until my knee heals.
  14. I'm sitting at home with a broken leg so I wasn't at Sun and Fun. Hoping to find this deal online. I'll call Gulf Coast on Monday.
  15. Anyone know of a shop selling st this price yet?
  16. How is the weight on wheels sensor handled for an ads b solution?
  17. My KT76A might be dead. Thinking about dropping in a Avidyne AXP340. Is ADS-B compliance as simple as adding the position wire from a WAAS source or are new antenna/coax cables required?
  18. Same here...booo
  19. From the install manual: 1.5.1.2 RS-232 The G5 has one RS-232 channel that may be used to output and/or receive data from another device. Refer to Section 1.8.4.13 for detailed information.
  20. I'm not sure they missed the mark as the pure majority of GA is not about logging miles cross country like most of us like to do. The G5s are no-brainer replacements for any dying AI/DGs that don't have an autopilot requirement.
  21. If you look at the install manual for the G5 there is only one output and its RS232. I was hoping for an output that would work with an STEC.
  22. Just flipping through the installation manual and I don't think the G5 is capable of providing a Heading Error Signal to an STEC 20/30. Unless there is another way to get that signal to my autopilot it doesn't make much sense to use the G5. That is the AP feature I use the most!
  23. TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!!!!!!!!!! On second thought - the press release specifically mentions the 430/430W and other G flavored boxes to be compliant. Will it work with an IFD series navigator? Hmmm.
  24. I caught that and edited my question about 3 seconds after posting. Thanks!
