The only modification is removing the filler necks? and changing the placards?

There doesn’t seem to be any proprietary notice on it, so here goes. im also copyin here the notes specific to my airframe ———- IAS Mode issues are more related to pitot issues instead of static pressure. We’re hoping this was checked as well however It wouldn’t hurt to have the pitot tube checked for blockages or a rough or damaged leading edge. As you can see from the first graph below this is varying quite a bit. There is almost a constant motion on the pitch servo…as if it is hunting through a dead spot caused by loose cable tension or excess friction. We need to have the cable tension checked and would like to have these findings sent to us using an appropriate tensiometer, not just “they are good” by feel. The reason we really hound on this is we recently looked at a plane that the dealer indicated they had checked only to look at it ourselves and find that the tensions were way off using our calibrated meter. We recommend also that all Config settings get verified and are set to what the latest Gains addendum states. AP Troubleshooting Checklist.rtf.pdf

I don’t have any improvement to report, but I do have some encouraging news 1. I have finally accepted that the installer is never going to expend the energy to fix this. They have dragged their feet, refused to engage resources at Garmin, and are silent on what troubleshooting steps they have taken. Last time I spoke with them, they blamed the trim servo SB. Sean at C&W is going work on it and he is already engaged. 2. Garmin has said that they have seen the issue in numerous mooneys, and that airframe issues (lubrication/friction, tension, mounting, and pitot/static) and miscalibration have been the culprits, and some shops have not been sufficiently thorough frustrating owners and requiring multiple trips to the shop 3. The GFC experts have analyzed my G3X logs, and can clearly see the issue. They have sent me and Sean a troubleshooting procedure that covers all the items above and have made themselves available to help. based on this, I think there’s a gremlin in the install, not a systemic or cerification (gain) issue Plane goes to C&W ~Jan 16 i am once again optimistic if it gets fixed in the field, it means that anyone wanting a GFC500 should be very selective in who does the install, and to make sure the shop is committed to following the procedures exactly and working closely with Garmin

What scares people away from the Bravo is fairly simple: money. 26 gallon /hr in the climb, ~18 gallons per hour for 75% power. Mythologically more expensive maintenance, with no data to back it up. The people living in the flats are willing to trade actual Bravo raw performance for perceived lower costs. There is one fundamental difference between the bravo and the ovations , and that is more complicated engine management revolving around very careful management of temperatures. Not everybody is willing to make the learning investment and add the additional workload

I had that problem on the first try, then I added lockwashers

@Skates97! these are great! I didn't use JB Weld on mine, but I am going to get some fore sure one thing I really appreciate about the Hero10 is the fantastic video stabilization. (see in the videos above)

there have been a few discussions on here about activating VTF. On some GPSs (older 530/430s, I'm lookin at you), activating VTF will remove all waypoints before the FAF. personally, I will no longer punch in VTF for exactly the reason you encountered.

I made my own mount which costs just a few dollars. It works perfectly. here are two videos: https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/774284087 https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/774266480 the issue is that its hard to buy individual parts, so I bought packs of 10, and I have enough parts to make 4 more mounts. I recently added a go-pro ball mount to it, which raises the price, but I haven't flown with yet I'll be making these available to the mooney community for cost, as soon as weather permits me to have a chance to test out the ball mount

you can check the wayback machine for the changes that have taken place on the website https://web.archive.org/web/changes/mooney.com

don't have bladders, but I will mention for a broader audience that the CEIS senders in my M required post-installation adjustment due to interference from the internal structures in the fuel tanks.

"needle, ball, airspeed, altimeter, and compass" for an instrument student who will be flying a six-pack, sure. but plenty of us don't have steam gauges anymore, and I am no longer current in needle/ball/compass partial panel, or terrestrial VOR-A or DME arc approaches. my plane goes forward, not backwards.

o get on basic med before this happens

I'm in downstate NY. I could meet half way in Jan or Feb if there's some good weather. But I don't have a C/E.

I can use the database update from the SD card from my GNC 355 in the GTN 750, and the G3X 10" and 7" cards are interchangeable -
What do those lines and dots mean on top of the storm?

I'm not "blaming foreflight". i'm concerned about pilots who mistake higher resolution images for for higher accuracy, in weather images that could be tens of minutes old. I'm saying that degraded images will hopefully dissuade those pilots to use the up/downlinked images to fly between the cells. -
Having never flown in any other mooney, I have always been curious to experience flying in a short- or mid- body. @Jmr324 was kind enough to give me my first ride in his beautiful 67E to pick up my plane from the shop. I was truly impressed at how fast it is (mid 150s)! and the glass panel is a beaut! oh yeah, and we had to fly into the outer ring of the POTUS TFR, which turned out to be easier than expected.

given how long the radar lag is (15-20 minutes), its probably safer to downgrade the image so people don't use it for cell avoidance. (note to all: I am not talking about you or anyone in particular) -

it seems like the search system on here can use one of two options: SQL search or Elastic Search. the latter is hugely better. -
I have the remote TXP and audio panel on my 750, and I love it! for me there have been no downsides going from discrete to integrated. but maybe there are better ways to spend the money?
