  1. Take it off, don't have one on mine.......don't miss it.
  2. Electronics International is having a sale good through the 10th, primary instrument for $3000 with trade in and replace a bunch of stuff..... Put it in a nav indicator hole.
  3. Two G5s with gad 29 and gad 13. Use Davtron temp sensor.....much cheaper than Garmin. Remove vacuum pump and all associated. The nav indicators can go, move tach and mp in there place. Move engine monitor closer.
  4. It's an open or ground. Remove the wire from the sender and see what happens. If it dose not change you have an open sender. If it goes the other way then it's a short. Most likely a wiper, resister coil problem in the sender. Cleaning the wiper, adjusting wiper tension, or coils cleaning may help. Ceis replacement is the fix.
  5. Now they need bob weight for the pitch and you have a real autopilot......brilliance
  6. Aircraft spruce and McFarlanes have bushings and shafts for repairs. Might be for Cessna or other, but bushings and shafts are bushings and shafts. A weld or rivets, some repairs and your good.
  7. Fuel selector plackard is bad and others need replaced. Parts manual part numbers not available...... Short of making them yourself, options?
  8. For leak repair, fuel tank sealant will fix holes.
  9. Thanks Great reading and insight, leaning towards windshield installation. The one installed is not that great, along with the other windows (original). Will post pictures.
  10. Is it worth the effort, cost and down time? $2600 plus installation, would you do it again after doing it? Adding ADS B and the panel is apart, and will save some costs.
  11. Very cool. My n number is N6821V. Very pleased with the airframe....not abused by mechanics and owners over the years. History is three owners, last one since 1983. Just making it airworthy, then the cosmetics. We are a small fraternity.
  12. Thanks for the comments. I will fill them and see......hopeful but a realist.
  13. Tanks are empty now. The inboard end rib leak is forward and and is not the fuel sender. The other wing is rivets on the bottom.
  14. Did a search and didn't get what I was looking for. What is the best way to go, get them resealed of go with bladders. Bladders look like you could get more usable fuel..... Aircraft has been in a hangar out of annual for several years, right tank has fuel stains on the lower surface in two places mid tank. Left has fuel stains on the inboard rib not visible from outside.
  15. I have 20-0003, one of 9 Pictures to come.....it is covered in dirt and junk in the hangar. Last annual 09. Have to wash it, interior is bad (original).
  16. How many Aerostar M20 were made? I just bought a project Aerostar home to save.
  17. Looking for heater and cown flap control cables assemblies.
  18. Could I talk anyone into lending me a copy of the 252 power charts (for an extended time period). I have been doing the math as I fly. Would like to take the guess work out.
  19. The cam lobes are ground at a slight angle so they will turn the lifter bodies. When the cam lobes wear flat as in the picture the lifter bodies stop turning and ride in one spot. You may be looking at some spaling in the future. Watch oil analysis for increase metal. Best of luck.
  20. I need a set now, are they available?
  21. Go see Frank at Sterling on the Concord Airport CCR. I have known, and had Frank work on my stuff for 20+ years.
  22. I would go Aspen, last time it was 3AMUs to fix the HSI. Correct me if I am wrong, but if you placard the Aspen for VFR use only and not use it in IFR conditions (partial panel)then you are OK?
  23. How long do these bulbs last? The regular bulbs have a 100+or- hour life depending on the wattage.
