  1. Just received my custom painted chocks that are an absolutely incredible rendition of my airplane! The painting looks as good as a photograph. The attention to detail is phonomenal. My paint scheme blue fades from a darker shade to a lighter shade on the tail, the middle stripe on the fuselage is a lighter color, and all the stripes are correctly painted on (as you can see in the photos). The young girl who painted them is paying her way through A&P school and has such a nice gift. You can customize the front and back with whatever you want it to say. Currently she is available on Facebook to order them as Hannah's Pilot Shop or email hannahs.chocks@gmail.com. She's in Salem, Oregon. I am in no way obligated to advertise for her...I am just posting here to share my experience and show how happy I am and beautiful the chocks are in case anyone else wanted to order their own.
  2. I'll look when I get home tomorrow evening.
  3. Selling this compact H3R Fire Extinguisher. Pressure is perfect in the green. I removed it from my plane to put the larger one that would fit the brackets in my airplane. There is nothing wrong with this fire extinguisher. Looking for $25 + shipping OBO. New ones of this model cost even more. dafatell@netzero.net Date on the back says year 2008.
  4. Where to? I74?
  5. Just emailed you. Thanks
  6. I've known this mechanic in Michigan for a long time, we're good friends so I usually take it to him. Have you used the new shop? How are they? Same people?
  7. Yup that was me on Wednesday. Just started the annual today. I must not have seen ya!
  8. Hello everyone, At annual found about a 3 inch crack in the aft propeller bulkhead plate. I've searched here and see that they are pretty hard to find. The Mooney part number is 680031-017. Does anyone know if they are repairable or does anyone have one they are getting rid of? It's off a two bladed prop. Thanks
  9. What kind of variation in priming would you see prior to start if the electric fuel pump were going bad, like you mentioned earlier? @carusoam
  10. To those that have PFS, is it true that there is a reduction in heat to the cabin during the winter?
  11. What model Aukey is it? the CC-S1 or CC-S5 (this one has the led light when powered)
  12. Beautiful aircraft. I see it has all new windows from GLAP. Do you know what tint they are (Clear or Gray) and if they are the Solar Control ones? I'm trying to picture what the different tints look like.
  13. Ah ok. I'll post a pic of mine when I get back to the hangar on Saturday. Same spot but from the factory. I just need to change the bracket haha
  14. Never thought of accessing it from the panels on the belly but I'll have to try that when I get back out to the hangar on Saturday.
  15. I knew I should have taken a picture lol. If you're sitting in the back seat, there's a cutout area where the vertical portion of the seats meets the floor. Right at the heels of your feet. Slightly left of center when sitting. It looks like it was that way from the factory but then again who knows. It's a 1983 J.
  16. Hello all, My fire extinguisher has never really fit in the bracket below the rear seats. Appears to be the wrong size bracket for the smaller fire extinguisher. I would rather replace the bracket with the correct one than try to buy a fire extinguisher that fits the installed bracket. My question is it appears the bracket is held on via screws from the backside of under the rear seats. Does anyone know how to remove the bracket? I pulled the rear seats and looked under the plastic seat bowls and appears there is no easy way to get to the back side of the bracket. I can't even see it. Any ideas? Thanks for your help
  17. I recently replaced the landing light lens cover on my M20J. This appears to be the original lens cover and although a bit dirty, I haven't cleaned it but it could clean up. It is slightly yellowed though. The plastic is not cracked at all. Any reasonable offer. Buyer pays shipping please. Thanks!
  18. Recently upgraded my 1983 M20J to all LEDs and as a result have these to sell. There are 3 power supplies total. 2 appear to be original Hoskins while the other one is a Whelen A490TCF with a date of 9/2005 on it. All worked fine powering the strobes. Next are the NAV/STROBE assemblies. All the strobes work. The wingtip strobes are Whelen Model A610. The tail NAV light is out and one of the wing NAVs is burned out. They just need new bulbs. Everything is in pretty good condition considering its age besides the newer Whelen power supply. Reasonable offers please. Buyer to pay shipping. Email me at dafatell@netzero.net if any questions.
  19. This is the touch screen Garmin Aera 560. I've owned it for a few years but haven't used it in a while (as a result the database is not current). Since I've owned a Stratus I really haven't needed the Aera. It's in like new excellent condition (besides obvious normal wear) as I keep all of my toys that way Everything is included including the yoke mount which is not in the picture. Any reasonable offer will be considered. New models are going for between 1,000 and 1,600 dollars depending on options. This model includes the XM weather and radio antenna. Buyer pays shipping. Asking $625
  20. Sold my Cherokee in May and purchased my Mooney in May as everything just fell into place (wasn't really explicitly looking to purchase another airplane, was just browsing and came upon this irresistible beauty). Flew over 900 hours total in 2016 of which 103 was in my M20J since May! I love that bird! Looking forward to another year filled with blue skies and tailwinds!
  21. Was wondering if anyone has seen the feature article on the M20J 201? I don't subscribe but was interested in seeing that article.
  22. That sheet metal attaches to the inside of the window and how? Nothing needed on the outside? Forgive my lack of understanding on the subject..just trying to figure out how I would go about adding it.
  23. When you mention the hardware to convert the square windows to round windows, is that just the interior plastic that gets switched out or do I need to get new rounded windows as well? Or is it for the outside of the square windows to make them appear rounded? Thanks
