Anybody share how their access panel is attached?  I have "Southco" 1/4 turn fasteners but of two different sizes.  The 080 size fits and makes a 1/4 turn.  The 100 size is too long and spins.  I will be getting teh additional 080 fasteners, but was just wondering what was typical?

All the best...

I haven't measured mine, but I believe they're all uniform length and fit correctly.  Perhaps your plane lost some in the past and a shop only had the long ones in stock?

I kind of like the flat screw heads for this application. If your panel is like mine, you need to shake it a little to get all the fasteners going, and I wind up engaging them in an illogical order. But with the flat ones, I can tell at a glance if any of them are not engaged.

True. I do have to shake it and I usually go counter clockwise so as to not miss any. Sometimes I'll go around twice and gently test each one on the second pass.

The part number gives the details...

Material SS...

Slotted type of screw driver it uses....

The number is the thickness of aluminum it passes through...

(This is from crusty old memory)

You might be able to go to the Southco website to back out the details that you need from one that you have...

That is correct and given on the Aircraft Spruce website, however I don't have the ability to get my measurements are down to a tenth of a mm as shown in the sizing guide.

Ouch...

Access to a parts manual...?

I looked up the closest I have...M20F parts manual...

Access panel...

Fastener is a mooney part number... 2-0-100

See if there is anything recognizable from that...?

Either a 82-11-100-20 or a 82-11-100-16 from Sruce. The stud should be a -100 length made by Southco
