rockydoc Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 Does anyone have a copy of a 1961 M20B Owner Operating Handbook and Service Manual they could pm me? Thanks Quote
carusoam Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 The 65C owners manual was very low in detail. I used the 74C POH as recommended by the factory. You might call them for that specific type of recommendation. Just to be clear... I am not recommending using a C POH for operating a B model. Call the factory to get their opinion on the proper documents to have. Best regards, -a- Quote

Alan Fox Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 I had a B and the only difference between the B and early C was the MGTOW I think the B is 2450 , and the C 2575 if memory serves me correctly , also if you have the Mcauley prop , there is no rpm restriction on the prop...... Quote

rockydoc Posted May 5, 2013 Author Report Posted May 5, 2013 You're welcome, here is another vintage M20B operating manual. thanks again. I hadn't seen this when i sent you the last pm asking for it. Quote
carusoam Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 Wow that took me ten minutes to read all eight pages! The 74 C POH has about 90 pages and includes things like performance charts... If they apply to the B, it will be worth the Money. If they don't apply directly to the B... They would make a nice starting point... In comparison, the '94 Ovation POH takes about 200 pages to cover the "same" information. It has a few more systems to cover, but the coverage overall, comes with details. Several pages for W&B, three starting procedures, a section of emergency procedures... They built a very nice plane in the 60's, they just didn't document it very well. Best regards, -a- Quote
sleepingsquirrel Posted May 5, 2013 Report Posted May 5, 2013 I'm having my wife scan a 32 page 1961 M20b manual tomorrow. It has a good deal more detail for an owner/pilot. It only takes 14 minutes to memorize. Quote
