Just thought I'd check here - any cheap places you guys bought your Lord mounts from (the rubber stuff that goes between the engine and the mount)

The cheapest I see is about 131 $ per shock disk

Part number is J9613-40

Thanks

I can't remember the price, but I went with aircraft spruce.  I think they were as cheap as anyone else, but mine may be different than yours.

edit-I looked yours up and it's 144 at spruce.

We used the Barry Controls mounts from Spruce, but I hear the Lord mounts are liquid-filled or something and are better.  IDK.  Anyone installed some of the Lord brand lately?

I was at a mining supply company about 30 years ago and saw the exact motor mount my M20F used sitting on the guy's desk. I asked him what it was for and he said it was for a stationary engine. He looked up the price and said it was $22.00. At the time the engine mounts were $90.00 for the plane....

Thanks! I thought I could only put Lord mounts on the plane - but looks like Barry mounts are a lot cheaper - 104 at spruce...

If people want to know where I am getting the cheap price

http://www.aircraft-specialties.com/cart.php

I should call them and make sure they have not been sitting on the shelf for too long. It might make sense to buy things like rubber etc that age from spruce because they have a high turnover

Aircraft Specialties is very busy and have a large business.  I purchased all my internal engine parts from them when I overhauled my engine. They had the best prices and had everything I needed in stock.

For a set of four, not each...?

I can't afford any extra heart attacks...

Best regards,

:) All pricing on spruce was for each - must be a mistake though ..
