kevin7500 Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 Hi. I just stumbled across this site recently and everyone seems extremely knowledgeable! I am looking at an older M20C in West Texas and was hoping to find someone that could do a compression check and make a general assessment of the plane (ie. is it worth buying). Any help will be appreciated. Quote
flight2000 Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 I'd use Don Mawell in Longview. Heard nothing but good things from people who have used him plus he has helpful articles under the publications page on his website. Not sure how far west you are, but there are also some good places near San Antonio. www.donmaxwell.com Good luck, Brian Quote
KSMooniac Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 Dugosh in Kerrville would also be a good choice. If the Mooney is airworthy then Kerrville/SAT isn't too far away! Maxwell is great too, but on the other side of the great state of Texas. Quote
N9937c Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 HI I live in the midland odessa area and have an IA that has worked on Mooneys since the 70's. pm me for #'s if needed larry Quote
kevin7500 Posted February 18, 2010 Author Report Posted February 18, 2010 Thanks all. I guess I should have been more specific....extreme West Texas, as in El Paso. Quote
PTK Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 I'd go to DUGOSH in Kerville. Wouldn't go to the factory. They have a bunch of inexperienced kids. Dugosh all the way. Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Don Maxwell if you don't mind the trip. Best $850 you'll spend. Don't ask me how I know. Quote
