David White Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 Not sure if this is the right forum or not for this, but I've been looking for a nice high quality polo with either the Mooney logo, or a little picture of a mooney on it. Any ideas where I could find one? Dave
Cruiser Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 try this: http://www.mooneypilots.com/merchandise.htm#!/~/product/category=0&id=11936907 currently out of stock.
Will W Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 I had to call but they had one for me in XL Black. Call the international number to get someone.
1964-M20E Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 I think sporty's has thm as well I belive that is where I got mine but it was a past Christmas present
DrBill Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 I had to make my own Mooney shirt when MAPA did not have my size. I bought a Mooney patch from MAPA and sewed it on a nice tan shirt from LLBEAN. Had the shirt embroidered with my name on the other side. BILL
231Pilot Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 I have a black one that my wife gave for me for Christmas several years ago. She bought it from MAPA (and a nice Mooney windbreaker, too). Good fit and quality, still looks good....no fading. The polo is made by Port Authority.
Cabanaboy Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 You could try Vista Print, upload the semi-ready image you want and proof it. I had some embroidered somewhere else, but they did make a screen print type below. http://www.vistaprin...ccessories.aspx
Mcstealth Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 Here in Kerrville, the Mooney factory used the local embroidery shop and they have several different designs. I posted a link to them last year or so. I will find it and re-post. David
Bennett Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 I has some shirts and a hat made up with embroidery showing my N number and an inflight view of my Mooney. The company www.thenplace.com, works from photos you send them of your airplane. They do very nice work, at what I consider a reasonable price for custom work. The shirts and jackets sold by MAPA are nice for generic Mooney logos.
BigTex Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 Call MAPA. At this year's convention I bought both a nice polo and jacket. At the time they had a good selection available.
Hank Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 I found a very capable lady at a local craft show, emailed her a photo of the vintage Mooney "eagle" logo [or is it a thunderbird?]. She has put it on towels and blankets for me, but no shirts yet. Her prices are very reasonable. www.cathyscustomdesigns.bravehost.com Cathy knows my name, and it is the "Bird" logo. I don't have anything for the modern Mooney oval thing with a big "M" across it.
aerobat95 Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 My wife made me this one.....its all embroidered which I like. I also have a polo with the same Mooney wing....just smaller, and I also have a tee shirt with the older Mooney pheonix.
Cabanaboy Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 How did she do it? What kind of machine? Very Nice! My wife made me this one.....its all embroidered which I like. I also have a polo with the same Mooney wing....just smaller, and I also have a tee shirt with the older Mooney pheonix.
