Just finished the landing gear install with new donuts/discs and wanted to post a picture of what we rigged up to compress the mount to install the donuts. It was simple and we didn’t have to load the wing up or have to use the aircraft for weight.

BTW

We used all existing parts to do the upgrade from the original landing gear donuts 4 nose and 5 main to the newer Lord mounts 4 main and 3 nose gear .

What year M20C? Is S/B M20-139A applicable to your bird?

did a similar approach with chain to the top truss and turn buckle to the back.

Yes,

Made it a simple install, didn’t have to load the wing of the plane and was a easy task and controllable.

Made the frame from scrap that was lying around (ten minutes to fabricate)
