Speed Merchant Posted April 19 Report Posted April 19 I am having my interior renewed. I have been talking to Gemico in Tampa. I spoke to George there. We had a great discussion he seems like a good person to work with. Has anyone had them do their interior and if so will you please share pictures? I think I want to have the plastic interior pieces covered. I had them painted five years ago and they get dirty easy and don't look great. What should they be covered in? Thanks Quote
anthonydesmet Posted April 19 Report Posted April 19 I have not but please let me know also how things workout. I’m looking to have my glareshield and seats redone. I did my own plastic rejuvination during COVID. Pretty easy to do. I did combination of Jeager interior kit and internet research and replaced carpet with AIRTEX. Quote

Thanks I would call Hector at AeroComfort and sweet talk him into letting you ship him your side panels (not heavy or expensive to ship in the grand scheme). He will cover them in Ultraleather and stitch the seams. It's the closest thing to a new Mooney interior you'll find.BEFORE:AFTER:This is from a ‘93 Bravo that I had him do. I took out the panels - he did them and I re-installed. 2 Quote

So my choice was to remove the entire interior and ship it to Texas and back or find another shop. I would have to find a local shop to install the renewed interior. I wanted a one stop shop that would do the whole job. I did not want vendors pointing fingers at each other when things go wrong. So I did some research and found Gemico. They are in central Florida just 100 miles from where I live. Your side panel looks awesome. Did you also do the ceiling and baggage area or did you have them painted? Quote

I was having Hector do my seats anyway. I removed the panels and took them to him, he did them and I insulated while everything was out and then re-installed them once he finished. Everything turned out great. Here are the pictures from when I sold it back in 2021: https://www.aircraft.com/aircraft/209401551/n134jf-1993-mooney-m20m-bravo Quote

It’s well worth the logistical challenges you may find in having to ship pieces back and forth. He’s done a few pieces for my two Mooneys and I’ve been nothing but pleased. Quote
