  1. Thanks for your post. Aero Comfort was my first choice. Hector no longer does installations of the new interiors he completes. So my choice was to remove the entire interior and ship it to Texas and back or find another shop. I would have to find a local shop to install the renewed interior. I wanted a one stop shop that would do the whole job. I did not want vendors pointing fingers at each other when things go wrong. So I did some research and found Gemico. They are in central Florida just 100 miles from where I live. Your side panel looks awesome. Did you also do the ceiling and baggage area or did you have them painted?
  2. I am having my interior renewed. I have been talking to Gemico in Tampa. I spoke to George there. We had a great discussion he seems like a good person to work with. Has anyone had them do their interior and if so will you please share pictures? I think I want to have the plastic interior pieces covered. I had them painted five years ago and they get dirty easy and don't look great. What should they be covered in? Thanks
  3. There was no plastic part on the lap belt to keep the shoulder seat attached. I am sending them in to be renewed. Thanks for your post.

  8. I have a 1984 Mooney 201. The shoulder harness frequently comes loose from the lap belt. I was told that I could replace the bolt and plastic spacer that connects the shoulder to the lap belt. I called Don Maxwell and talked to their parts person. She did not have bolts and spacers and suggested that I call Alpha Aviation. They also didn't have the parts. The person I spoke to at Alpha suggested heating up a plastic tube to get it to fit over the bolt. Has anyone actually done this? Has anyone replaced the stock belts with aftermarket belts? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
  9. I have a friend that has a 231. His cylinder # 6 runs much cooler than the other cylinders. Someone told him that a baffle piece was missing. I wonder if someone out there on MooneySpace might have a picture of the baffles for # 6 or might be able to take a picture for us. There is no need to remove cowling just a picture through the cooling inlet would work. Thanking you in advance. Does anyone know if baffle pieces for a 231 are available through Mooney? Thanks
  10. I bought the Vividia tonight. I have not heard about Savvy's valve service. I will check it out, thanks for your text.

  13. I am looking at having my stock 1984 stock leather interior replaced in my 201. I have been talking to Aero Comfort about their doing it. I had them recover my yokes and them did a great job. They have a great reputation and I enjoyed talking to Hector. They couldn't touch my bird for about a year. Is there another shop I should consider where I could get it done quicker?Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks Curt
  14. Hi i am considering getting hearings aides that are compatable with the ANC A20 Bose. Does anyone have any experience with hearing aides with A20s? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks
  15. I finally resolved my poor transmission and reception problems with my 750xi and my 355. It turns out the the mic gain was not set correctly. One two minute adjustment and everything is good now. The range is much better and I feel like I can contact France now from Vero Beach. It sounds like it should of been an obvious thing to check. I contacted three avionics shops about my issues before it was taken care of.
  16. I am considering having an AirPower altenator and voltage regulator installed in my 84 201. Air Power doesn't have a PMA for the J model but does have a PMA for the E and F model. I field approval would be required. Has someone installed one on a J model. Should I consider a different altenator? Thanks
  17. They were just replaced with the new style coax. The change made no difference. Thanks for your post.
  18. Thanks for your post. Guess I am not buying a harness from Kelly. What manufacturer should I use?
  19. I am fighting a noisy staticky radio. I want to replace my spark plug wires. Does anyone know what length wires I need for my 84 J model? Thanks
  20. I am bringing my bird to Sarasota Avionics to have the problem resolved. Thank you for your post.
  21. Yea there is a brief period of static. Very annoying. Is the automatic squelch circuit adjustable? I was told that at the end of the transmission it goes to full squelch. But the transmissions are still weak- could that be related?
  22. I really don't hear a whine- lots of static at the end of transmissions. If it isn't the filter what might it be? thanks
  23. I have a Garmin 750xi with a built in audio panel. Radio transmission and receiving are weak and with lots of static at the end of the transmissions. I am not sure what the issues is. I was told a noise filter would help. I had the 750xi and a 355 installed about two years ago. The audio with both units leaves a lot to be desired. I have had ATC contact me through other planes on the freq because either I couldn't transmit or receive 3 or 4 times.I have brought the plane back to the shop that did the install and they say there is nothing wrong with it. Very frustrated. Suggestions appreciated. Curt
