billy hellcat Posted December 8, 2023 Report Posted December 8, 2023 Anybody have or know where I can get this part? It’s for the overhead vent. Not sure what you call this piece. Thanks! Quote
hammdo Posted December 8, 2023 Report Posted December 8, 2023 Use that as a template and make your own? Aviation aisle/section at Lowe’s may have the clear plastic… 1 Quote
Utah20Gflyer Posted December 8, 2023 Report Posted December 8, 2023 If your AP/IA will permit it you might consider using a different plastic that is less brittle like ABS. Polycarbonate is difficult to work with and I don’t see why you need a transparent piece of plastic for the vent anyway. If you are really ambitious you could replace those vents with some eyeball vents like I did a couple years back. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted December 8, 2023 Report Posted December 8, 2023 In my Mooney, those pieces were made out of aluminum. Quote
hammdo Posted December 8, 2023 Report Posted December 8, 2023 I’d do aluminum now since that will hold up. Quote

AH-1 Cobra Pilot Posted December 8, 2023 Report Posted December 8, 2023 That is a very easy 3-D print, as long as you can make/obtain the CAD file. I have been testing pieces that replace the old units, letting you put in eyeball vents so I, and others, have leftovers. Quote
