Not for anything, but i love the OP's paint scheme. When it comes time to repaint my 75 F, I'd seriously think about going retro with that scheme...

Some of the comments I see certainly suggest a drift back toward the retro look.  Not necessarily factory, but reminiscent of those schemes.  I still have factory paint, but when the time comes, I will probably do something quite similar.

I think my 1962 C model is sorta half vintage? The paint isn't original, and was applied about 30 years ago in a scheme that was current then. To each his own and I will refuse to argue with anyone who might disagree, but I kinda like it. It's time for me to think about getting it repainted, and I might just have them redo what's on it.

Good luck with yours, and thanks, all, for the discussion and the pretty pictures!

I like straight lines on the short bodies. When it came time to paint I sent the graphic designer pics of some designs I liked and what I liked about them. One thing I wanted was a dark color on the leading edge to more easily see if it is picking up ice. Lastly was incorporating my logo in the tail. There was back and forth as he refined different ideas, I'm very happy with the result.

I like it, too.  I like the look of a dark lower fuselage.

If I may pass on to you a bit of advice that the previous owner of my C told me; he said that after parking, set the stab trim back to somewhere close to the takeoff position to align the paint stripes across the fuselage-empennage seam.  He said it just looks better.
