GeorgePerry Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 U of P takes the cake with this... Quote
mooneym20d Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 I'm sure the DoD has their eye on these guys. Quote
scottfromiowa Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 I have seen the future...and it's pretty cool...and scary if you are a "bad guy". The ability to make those fly in formation and independently go through the window is truly a break through in that micro-size. Awesome! Quote
DaV8or Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 The formation flying is the impressive part. Imagine applying that tech to a swarm of full sized robotic fighters! Seems like conventional fighters using conventional tactics would be overwhelmed. You would be hard pressed to get human pilots to fly that figure eight without disaster. IMO, aerial combat in the near future is going to be very, very interesting... for those of us not participating and watching from the side lines. Quote

1964-M20E Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Neat but very scary. Maybe I watched too many Terminator movies. :-)) Quote
Jeff_S Posted February 12, 2012 Report Posted February 12, 2012 Am I the only one who likens this to that Tom Cruise movie where they were stopping crimes before they happened (senility prevents me from remembering the title). They unleased all those little robots to try to find him while he was hiding. Actually, while fascinating, I find it somewhat scary as well. Quote
