Oscar Avalle Posted December 12, 2022 Report Posted December 12, 2022 Here I go again. After a long time without producing any videos, I changed jobs, etc, I am sharing with you a video showing a landing of my Mooney on a grass strip. I am also pointing out how I am using my AOA indicator. Enjoy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro 9 Quote
vorlon1 Posted December 12, 2022 Report Posted December 12, 2022 Oscar, I missed your videos! Thanks. P.S. Nice music selection. 1 Quote

Shadrach Posted May 4, 2023 Report Posted May 4, 2023 Beautiful footage nicely accompanied by one of Santana’s most soulful compositions! What kind of external cameras are you using? The seem to dampen a lot of movement. Quote
amillet Posted May 4, 2023 Report Posted May 4, 2023 I like the way the tail mounted camera makes the wings look curved down. Quote
carusoam Posted May 4, 2023 Report Posted May 4, 2023 Oscar at home on grass strips… if anyone asks if Mooneys are good on grass… @Oscar Avalle has the answer right here! having the AOAi probably simplifies things a bit. Great video as always. Best regards, -a- Quote

Great video as always. Best regards, -a-Thanks, indeed I believe you can land your Mooney on a grass strip. You have to be careful and make sure that the field is in good shape. But there are some asphalt runways that I would stay away from because they are not taken care off…Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro 1 Quote

skykrawler Posted May 26, 2023 Report Posted May 26, 2023 Take note....that is a C model without the lower gear doors so its okay with that longer grass. 1 Quote
cleatus99 Posted May 27, 2023 Report Posted May 27, 2023 My M20J had about 400 hours of grass time Now the Missile gets plenty of Lawn experience. We keep the field in great condition with regular fertilizer, overseed, herbicide… I kept lower gear doors on, but our turf runway is smoother than some asphalt I’ve been on. 2 Quote
