Don, Thanks for posting.  There are a couple airplanes pictured in one of the articles, 7121U and 7123U.  Both still flying.  The article about the turbocharged E began life as 7121U and had the registration changed to 300MD.  Quite a story.

Joe Schmber in Kerrville has a lot of Mooney memorabilia.  He's an awesome gentleman.  Someone should get in touch with him and make sure everything is preserved.

I met Joe at a MAPA Homecoming event back in 09 where we had a brief discussion about the 201 development. An awesome gentleman he is and a privilege to meet from a bygone era we shall never see again.

A new client came in this week. His eyes lit up when he saw the photo of the Mooney on the wall.  Turns out he worked for Mooney in the mid 60’s while in college as a pilot, training new owners as they took delivery

Another cool AOPA article...

the prediction of the pressurized Mooney ending singles as we know it was 'interesting'...

Interesting to read.  I like where they said the manual gear could be converted to electric for $700. How times change.  And the Mustang came fully equipped except for radios.:D
